Know More about this tour

You will meet your tourguide in the lobby of your hotel. Together with the tourguide you'll start with a transfer by tram in the direction of the Opera house, the first stop of the tour. Then, continue on foot along lake Zrich to Brkliplatz, the best place to photograph the city, lake and mountains in one picture. After a short tram ride stop at Paradeplatz in the heart of the financial district before heading along Bahnhofstrasse, the place for window-shopping in some of the world's most exclusive brand stores. Footsteps away from the Bahnhofstrasse, you will arrive at the Old town and will walk to the St. Peter's church and along buildings, built in the 17th century. Your tourguide will lead you to the Lindenhof, from where you have a great view over the Limmat river and the great minster church.
You'll continue your tour to the Fraumnster church, where Mark Chagall designed the windows inside the church. Continue across the bridge and arrive at the great minster church, the place where protestant church reformation took place in Switzerland.

Rolf quoted an inordinate amount of dates and history at a rapid speed, but failed to give adequate local knowledge and feelings of Zürich. We were unable to get into the main church because of filming during the month - he was unaware of this and did not show us inside any other church as an alternative eg St Peters. In our next tour chocolate tour we learnt that the clock face was the largest in Europe bigger than Big Ben and the building was owned by both the canton and state. Such details are interesfing and memorable - this was not the information we got from Rolf.
The tour was the worst private tour we have taken in numerous countries and a huge disappointment. He did not gain a measure of us and so our time spent was simply a history lesson without any contemory information. I think that he quoted over a 100 dates to us and it was cognitive overlaod.

Mike was fantastic. He was prepared to gain our interest in the sights and history of Zurich. He made each sight filled with 2 key takeaway notes. Always asked if he moved to fast or left info out. He even walked us to our dinner reservation in the rain. Mike was ready to change the program.

Unfortunately we paid a lot of money for this tour. Our guide was disappointing and not knowledgable about Zurich or things Swiss. Very ordinary.

Our guide was average. Did not really educate us on the tour. Lots of quiet times.

The tour was awesome! We saw all of the highlights of City Center Zurich in one afternoon. We were very comfortable staying in town for dinner on our own and then navigating by train back to the airport. The tour requires significant walking ... honestly, we walked about 6 miles visiting all the areas. We even had time to take the tram at the University to the top for an overview as well as a ride on the lake by boat. Without this tour, we never would have been able to squeeze in so much in one afternoon. We stopped for a drink and cake along the river too. Ms. Claire was very knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions. Her restaurant recommendation for dinner was perfect. Looking at pricing for other tours, my thought is that they are all expensive in my standards. I definitely would do this tour over others if you prefer walking to explore the city and want the flexibility in a schedule.
