Absolutely brilliant trip.It was everything promised and much more.

Forget about it! Pick up information was miscommunicated. Guide left much to be desired. Viator apparently subcontracted tour to a firm that subcontracted the tour. Impossible to reach the tour company to confirm the pickup information. Ridiculous!
Could not hear the guide describing anything since the roof was removed, windows open and the guide was looking ahead while speaking. Jeep was old, horn didn't work, so the driver/guide made the sound of the horn when he felt the need to blow the horn. Cute but not safe.
Tour company combined a full day tour with a 4 hour tour, giving those of us on the half day tour more to see, but at our expense as we could not do other things in Lanzarote. Guide was argumentative as to when he would return us to the port. He wanted to spend more time with us, as 2 of the 6 paying guests paid for a full day.
Guide was immature to be polite.
Worst Viator trip we have ever had!

Shortly after booking this trip on Viator, the jeep company contacted me to say that we couldn't do the safari on the date I had booked as they didn't run the trips every day. This was sorted out easily enough and we were able to choose a different date. We were picked up from our hotel at 8:30am on the morning of our booked trip by a very friendly Italian woman called Patrizia. Fortunately we knew some Italian and she knew a little bit of English so we got by. She drove us to the meeting point in Costa Teguise an hour away where two other jeeps joined with our one to form a small convoy. Louis was one of the other drivers and he spoke very good English so most of the information we were given throughout the day came from him at the various stops. The first thing he told us was that the trip we had booked the one listed on Viator which was apparently a tour of the centre of the island was not being run that day but that they were doing a tour of the North of the island which would also mean some additional costs as we were heading to some caves with an entrance fee. We didn't mind too much and there wasn't much we could do at that point anyway! The trip itself was great fun and we saw LOADS of the island, including a stop at a beautiful beach for a swim. The mountains and volcanoes of Lanzarote were spectacular and the route we were taken on included some fantastic scenery Mirador del Rio gave amazing views of the island of Graciosa. The off-road bits were good fun - my teenage boys would have loved more! All in all, it was a great day which I would highly recommend - but at no point did we know what was coming next or where we were actually going, so you have to be prepared to just go with it and trust in the drivers! We were returned to our hotel in Playa Blanca right down in the South of the island at 5pm so a really full day and good value for money. Take food, drinks and swimming stuff.

Our driver Louis was a great character and was very knowledgeable of the area. He knew the best off road routes and a nice restaurant to stop for lunch. We would recommend this tour to anybody.

Great tour and the guide was excellent. All four of us enjoyed the trip. Good way to see the island.

With Louis, our driver and guide at the helm we managed to see many parts of the island we may not have got to see. Very informative and some unbelievable driving skills made our tour 1st rate. With beach and cliff tours plus a walk into a volcano crater its a must for any avid adventurer, with a little wine tasting thrown in too. Massive respect to the driver who had great knowledge of the island and driving skills to match the best, and one of the funniest guys you will meet. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the island off the beaten track.

A great day out and a great way to see parts of Lanzarote that we would of missed during our stay! Our guide was informative and yet great fun. Our only suggestion would be for the pick up jeep driver to explain that we were going somewhere else to meet the other jeep and driver as nothing was said and were a little confused! All in all a thoroughly good day!
