This is a great cruise! The boat is old, but very well taken care off. The suites are big for a ship and have huge windows. So the views are amazing. The crew was very friendly. and the tipping at the end of the cruise makes it very comfortable. All the stops were very organized and our guide Ayman, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend and repeat.

My husband and I really enjoyed this trip. We were upgraded to a stateroom and it was very nice, roomy and clean. I loved having a huge window to look out as we went down the Nile River. All the staff was just marvelous. Everyone treated us as if we were kings and queens and always with a smile on their faces. The food was standard but good and plentiful. The stops were all at places we had wanted to see. My favorites were the Temple of Isis at Philae and Karnak Temple. We had Michael as our guide to show us the sites. I can't praise Michael enough. He was such a great guide. He knew all about the temples and sites we saw and he could answer any of our questions. I definitely would ask for him again. This was a great tour and I think the best way to see many of the sites in Egypt. I would love to do it again when we go back for another visit.

What a wonderful experience - cruising down the Nile River - stopping off at various temples and places on route to Aswan. We were on the vessel Amarco - our tour guide Tony was incredible - so much knowledge. The boat was very well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for the staff - we had a great time and would definitely recommend this cruise. We did an optional tour to Abu Simbel which was amazing - definitely worth the trip. The tombs at The Valley of the Kings were unbelievable and we paid the extra to see Seti's tomb - no words to describe it a very worthwhile recommendation from Tony

This was an amazing experience. Our assigned guide Tony Adel was wonderful. He, like all guides is a university trained Eygptologist and really knows his stuff. He made history come alive. We had originally booked for a group tour but VIiator upgraded us to a private tour. If I had known more when I originally booked I would have paid the extra money for the private tour. Tony was our guide for the entire 5 day trip.
As far at the cruise itself, Viator also upgraded us to a Suite which gave us a little more room and allowed us access to the bridge. The staff on the boat were without exception very kind, helpful and hard working. The food was so so but ok. Our boat the MS Dolphin was a little worn but comfortable.
We would highly recommend this trip the people of Egypt are very welcoming and we at no time felt under any sort of threat. Tourism is a way down from a few years ago and the tourism industry really needs support. As a result rates are very reasonable. We highly recommend this trip it is one of the best experiences that we have ever had while travelling.

We had a very enjoyable Nile River Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Tourism in Egypt has taken a major hit since the 2011 revolution, and although we felt very safe and well looked after, both the ship and the sites we visited felt very quiet. We did not sign up for the private guide option, but in the end had only one other couple in our group. The food on board the ship was excellent, and the staff made a huge effort despite there being only 18 passengers on board. The temples and tombs we visited were extraordinary - really must see. Great photos and some fantastic memories from each place. There were a few touristy places e.g. demonstrations of how alabaster is carved, or textiles or papyrus is made, followed by hard sells of those products which we could have done without, but others may find them interesting or welcome the shopping opportunities. In particular, our guide Michael was outstanding - really a great guide, highly knowledgable, fluent in three languages, and a nice guy as well.

This was a great ship. It was clean, the staff was amazing, everything was well organized, the food was good. I have no complaints. If you are fortunate enough to be able to do a Nile cruise, pick this company. Top notch.

We had the time of our lives. From the pickup at Luxor airport till they said goodbye in Aswan's, all of the experience was simply surreal. We were treated as royalty but with such closeness and so much sincere kindness and humanity from all the crew, that we were moved to tears when we had to part. Our guide Rabeh was there for us and so correct, educated, knowledgeable, companion, it was so enriching to be around him. We learned a lot about the past and present of Egypt. We feel very happy and grateful we could enjoy that much. The temples and tombs, the bazars and bars, the view of the Nile from the cruise and faluca were unforgettable. The onboard service was amazing, food was goumet, generous and yummy. Don't think twice! South Sinaí Travel is first quality. Viator was very solicitous too. You'll never ever regret it.

The ship Mirage 1 was really old. There was not much to do on board: tiny pool not very clean, one cafeteria-style restaurant with limited hours, only one English CNN TV channel, a closet sized really fitness room. The activities usually lasted half of a day. For the rest of the time, you are stuck on this little ship.
I met an Australian family while flying into Luxor and out of Aswan. The joined a land based tour with similar itinerary and had a much better time.
To illustrate the size of this ship, it can only hold less than 150 guests. That along with the age of the ship makes it undesirable for spending 4 or 5 days there.
-
Most of the tour as expected, with some shortcommings on the boat due to very few passangers.
-
We have booked more day trips, tours and transfers than I can remember with Viator and so far all have gone like clock work, this one included. The cruise is a must as you get to see much of the country side along with tours off the ship and at the end of the day thank god for the pool and bar, it can be hot here. The feel of the ship is classical and very clean, well serviced and good food. Had a great time.
