Overview
North of Kathmandu in the shadow of the amazing Langtang Mountains is 108 sacred lakes of the Gosainkunda. These lakes are like shimmering teardrops left by the ancient gods who created the high mountains of the Himalayas.
The Gosainkunda Lakes Trekking is just five days of fun trekking in the midst of some of the most beautiful scenery in Nepal. Close to Kathmandu, you will soon be immersed in the mountain serenity that only the Himalayas can offer.
This is a higher elevation trek and combines great scenery with local culture as well as religious heritage. Pass through Sherpa villages as well as through dense jungles filled with mountain animals. Keep your eyes open to see those creatures that call the Himalayas home.
Some of the mountain ranges you can see from this trek include Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang. This is a short trek that offers everything the longer treks do while taking a lot less time to see.
