  I decided to book this tour for the 6 of us and was glad I did! We were picked up on time in a clean vehicle and our guide AZ was awesome! He was so knowledgeable about the area and taught us a lot about the culture and way of life in Puerto Vallarta. We got a chance to do a bit of shopping, take scenic pictures and had some great seafood for lunch at the end of the tour. I would recommend this tour!

  Bernie picked us up at our hotel in a very nice and comfortable van and took 3 of us on a great personalized tour of town. He included non touristy areas and we watched them make hot homemade tortillas at a corner food stand. We also went us the mountain a ways to view the city from above and ate lunch at a local authentic Mexican restaurant with the locals, not tourists. Wow the food was awesome. Bernie was very knowledgable, nice, and spoke good English for our group. Would give this tour a 6 if possible :) Would book him again when in town to see even more and eat good!!! Sorry I'm slow to review. All my pics are lost on the cloud :(

  We had a fantastic trip with Azael. My husband and I traveled with our 2 year old daughter and it was great to have a private, flexible tour. We got to see some of the main sites in Puerto Vallarta and we loved exploring some of the other neighborhoods. We stopped at a tortilla factory and learned a lot about every day life in Puerto Vallarta. Azael was very patient when our toddler got upset and made sure we were all comfortable with water and even cool towels! Our tequila tasting (toddler received agave syrup) and lunch were all in picturesque settings. It was great to get into the mountains and see more of Puerto Vallarta than our hotel. Highly recommend this tour, especially if traveling with kids! Thank you for having us!

  We created life-long memories last month thanks to Azael (A.Z.) Saldaña Lopez’s expertise and tour guide experience. He showed us places that we both expected and didn’t expect to see, and provided excellent historical descriptions to go with them. As a long-time resident of Pto. Vallarta, A.Z. has many years of experience in the tourism industry, as well as a great foundation through his academic training. Further, he maintains many solid contacts with local merchants and businesses for the latest information on what’s currently hot and what’s not. All we had to do is ask, and he offered great advice for other activities to do after our time spent with him, all in English as well as Spanish, if preferred. This is what we covered in the better part of one day: • Tequila tasting in a local distillery • Fine food establishments • A drive down the coastline south of town with stunning ocean views, including views of Los Arcos National Marine Park • A drive uphill to see densely vegetated landscapes and wildlife, including a family of coatis (coatimundi, members of the raccoon family) • Attractions we saw in the central district were:  Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe  Malecon/Boardwalk Complementing A.Z.’s familiarity with PV’s history, geography, and economy were his genuine warmth, personality and people skills. In short, it was a great adventure in learning and pleasure that we will never forget. We have only the highest of recommendations for Azael (A.Z.) Saldaña Lopez.   Azael was fantastic! There were six of us on the Private City Tour and he made sure we all had a wonderful experience. He made our vacation in Puerto Vallarta a perfect experience.

  I booked the tour based on the amazing reviews and it was so disappointing. The driver took us to all the stores and hotels he probably gets commissions from. He didn’t even ask me if we were interested in going those places. I said “I’m going to take you to…” and took us to some street vendors, hotels, and a gallery. We spent most of time in the car or at the stores we were not interested. He said he was going to take us to an ice cream place without asking us. I said we don’t want ice cream and told him to drop us off at a mall. The whole trip was only 3.5 hours not 5 hours. I liked the boardwalk and the tile park and that’s about it. I booked the private tour do I could avoid those sales pitches and unnecessary shopping time, but I ended up doing it anyway. I feel so stupid spending so much money on this trip. Work on an itinerary before the tour and let them know what you want to do and not want to do prior to the tourI’m definitely not doing this again.

  This was more than any old tour. It’s the best I’ve ever experienced! Bernardo makes you feel like Puerto Vallarta is home. He knows it all and provided us with information we will use in our future visits. We saw all that PV has to offer and now understand the unique qualities of each area and it’s neighborhoods. He answered all of our questions and stopped along the way to let us try different foods and do some light shopping. Thank you Bernardo!!!!

  Our guide arrived promptly. Was very positive and asked us about our trip. Took us into downtown PVR and first drove us around and showed us various historical sites and told us about the different buildings. He let us out and asked how long we wanted before being picked back up, and let us know where he was going to meet us when we were done shopping and walking around. Afterwards, we went to a tequila tasting. I am not a tequila drinker, but it was very good. The guide, Daniella, at the tasting was very knowledgeable, and made it very fun. After that, we drove farther up one of the hills, and went to a restaurant for lunch. There was a large river beside it, and all the seating was outdoors. The food was incredible. Once we were heading back, he made an extra stop at our request to pick up a couple more souvenirs. There were four in our group and I would highly recommend this tour as a fun way to get out and see a little bit of Puerto Vallarta.

  Our customized tour with Juan was a delightful experience. He was fun to be with, funny and outgoing. He asked us what we wanted to see and that's what we did. We saw the high and low of how people live, where they shopped, and the some of the lovely tiled plazas where events are held. He stopped to buy churros straight from the oven that melted in your mouth and the scent was heavenly. He took us to a family-owned tequila distillery where we sampled & bought the tastiest, smoothest tequila we'd ever tasted. It was a great day - thanks again, Juan!
