Rio was impressive. This is a great way to see the main highlights and skip the long lines for entrance…must are perk! Antonio was a great guide, very knowledgeable, knowing how to make the most of our time together.

The excursion today included some of the more traditional sites that most visitors see in Rio including Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf mountain. Camila took us through to both of the previously named sites and in addition we went through a number of the various neighborhoods in Rio. We were also able to see some unique views of Christ the Redeemer statue that are slightly off the beaten path. The feeling at the base of the statue is something that is hard to put into words. The energy at the precipice is palpable. Again, Camila has a wealth of information and was able to share tons of useful historical data. She was able to paint the picture of Brazil’s history from the imperial period through modern times and tied that into how and when the statue was constructed. This excursion was well worth the time and I would highly recommend it.
