Begin your tour with hotel pickup at 9:30am. Then, you will travel in a new, air-conditioned minivan to the Fishing Village of Ericeira (about 45 minutes) .
In the morning our first stop will be Mafra to see from outside The Palace of Mafra - monumental Baroque and Italianized Neoclassical palace-monastery and is an excellent place to stop for cake (Pastel de Mafra) and coffee before Ericeira.
11:30 AM Ericeira is a fishing village famed for its fish and seafood dishes-Check out the traditional whitewashed houses and old churches will relax your mind and send you back to a simpler, quieter time. Natural scenery also abounds, with stunning views of spectacular cliffs and beaches that will take up plenty of space on your cameras memory card.
12:40 AM Arriving the Restaurant right in front of the beautiful sea in Ericeira, you can eat the best fresh seafood meal (Crab / Lobster / Shrimp and much more) with Portuguese wine you Bear.
The departure from the restaurant will be at 2:45 PM and you could choose to visit the Cabo da roca Roca Cape is the westernmost extent of mainland Portugal or return directly to Lisbon.
The estimated arrival at the Hotel will be at 5:00PM or 6:00PM (depending if you prefer the long way or short way to return).
Ericeira: Considered one of Europes best small destinations! Ericeira is a quite ancient town, believed to be connected with the Phoenicians. The sea has always had an essential role for the village and it was a very important port during the 19th century. This is the place where the Portuguese royal family escaped to their exile after the 1908 regicide. Ericeira is a popular beach destination, known for its natural beauty, welcoming atmosphere and delicious seafood. Have time to visit the Palace of Mafra that is a monumental Baroque and Italianized Neoclassical palace-monastery. Construction began in 1717 and was completely concluded in 1755. The palace was classified as a National Monument in 1910, and was also one of the finalists of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.
