Know More about this tour

After hotel pickup in San Jose (if selected), drive northeast through coffee plantations and farmlands. Your route takes you along Braulio Carrillo National Park, a untouched wonderland of waterfalls, rivers and dense rainforest. About an hour later, reach Rainforest Adventures Costa Rica Atlantic, an ecotourism reserve. A private sanctuary spanning 1,174 acres (475 hectares), Rainforest Adventures shares a 6-mile (10-km) border with Braulio Carrillo and serves as a buffer between the park and agricultural lands. Your 6-in-1 pass gives you a flurry of activities to enjoy the animal and plant life thriving in the rainforest.
Aerial Tram After a multimedia presentation on the reserve’s preservation efforts, take an 80-minute ride in an open-air gondola with a naturalist guide. Spot plants and birds in the high and sub-canopy you’ll typically don’t see from the forest floor. In the hanging gardens, you'll discover colorful flowers and different shades of greenery, with your guide explaining all you need to know and pointing out where to glimpse wildlife.
Bocaracá Nature Trail On this easy 45-minute walk with a naturalist guide, take pleasure in studying the rainforest from the ground up. Enjoy more time to take pictures, search for wildlife or just wander around. A sloth might be munching away, a tapir may meander across your path, or you may glimpse the bright yellow slither of the eyelash viper.
Zipline  Dial up the thrills and fly through the treetops! Keep your eyes open as you make your way through 10 cables and 14 platforms amid lush mountain scenery. Cables range in length from 262 to 459 feet (80 to 140 meters). You’ll receive a safety briefing and guides are on-site to ensure your safety.
Adrena-Line Think you got the hang of ziplining? Then test your courage: Shoot along the newest and longest cable in the region — 2,297 feet (700 meters) long — and reach speeds of 34 miles per hour (55 km per hour). Don’t worry, you’re only 197 feet (60 meters) above the ground.
Hanging Bridge
Conquer all fear of heights by walking across a suspended bridge over the rushing Molinete River. In the freshwater below, see if you can spot the silver streaks of the machaca, a local fish.
Butterflies & Frogs Garden Blue morphos, blue jeans, red-eyed black and green frogs are just some of the species you’ll see in this open-air garden covering 2,150 square feet (200 square meters). As a guide walks you through the netted area, note the butterflies in various stages of development and ask any questions you may have.
Feeling hungry? Purchase lunch at the restaurant on-site serving traditional fare and a buffet. After your memorable day in the Costa Rican rainforest, enjoy transport back to your hotel.

  • Great tour - the ziplining views were breathtaking. The guides were knowledgeable and the zipline employees were tons of fun.

  • We booked 6 in 1 Tours: Rainforest Adventures Costa Rica with Viator.com tour date on Aug18. The confirmation from Viator.com was fast and accurate. The driver guide, Erick arrived at our hotel on time and his driving skills were excellent. We are happy with his service. The Rainforest Adventure combo is perfect for family to explore even through our girls ages 9 and 13. The local guides in the Rainforest Adventure assisting us during the zip lining were very professional and experienced. We had a good time, fun and very safe environment when doing the activities. Thank you. We also liked the aerial tram tour and the walking tour with the local guide to see the animals and plants. Overall, our money is worth to do all activities and see the rainforest.

  • Wonderful adventure.

  • This tour was awesome; it was very informative as well as adventurous. We had a fantastic guide, Edgar, who was so knowledgeable, entertaining and paid attention to every detail. The lunch was delicious and the transportation very comfortable. I highly recommend this tour.

  • The zip-line experience was far longer and more exciting than I expected. I never, not for an instant, felt unsafe. They use a double-line, either of which, by itself, can handle a full load, and all of the equipment was in great repair. The experience has eleven separate lines of varying length, totaling over a mile. The final line is almost 2300 feet. The canopy tram tour was a relaxing 90-minute ride - perfect followup to the ziplining. Our transportation group was a mix of people who had paid for different tours. Those who didn't pay for the 6-in-1 were left waiting in the bus as we finished our walking tour through the snake and butterfly enclosures, so our guide was kind of rushing us through those. Those exhibits were sub-par and in somewhat disrepair, so I didn't feel like a missed much. Were I to do this again, I would arrange my own transportation and only pay for the zipline and canopy tram. I might even do the zip-line twice. It was one of the highlights of my two weeks in the country.

  • Overall it was a nice tour. The ziplines were many and very nice, with two great guys who helped us and very funny. The gondola aerial tram was very nice, but the lady who guided us was not very engaging she fell asleep for few minutes some times! and knowledgeable. The nature trail was nice but the guide didn't speak good english, so was not easy to understand. Food was ok.

  • I have been living in Costa Rica for a month, and this was BY FAR the BEST tour I have gone on for the price! Not only were all the activities extremely fun and well-worth the money, but all the guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They all spoke English well, and were very helpful when needed. The food was delicious, authentic to the region, and plentiful! I have nothing negative to say about this experience. A trip of a lifetime!

  • A great experience from our pick-up at hotel, ride to Braulio Carrillo National Park. Once there, our tour guide, Bryan, was AMAZING! Showed us many different species of orchids, took us through the butterfly garden and reptile exhibits, showed us a sleeping Tapir in the wild and pointed out a sloth. The aerial tram ride was really amazing and, again, Bryan did a wonderful job of educating us about the flora and fauna of the rainforest. He was highly entertaining, personable, and knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the ecosystem on the hour-long ride. But by far the high-point of the day was the ziplining! Incredible! The views from the platforms and while ziplining were breathtaking. Bryan and Fabian put everyone at ease and were very safety-conscious while still being fun and engaging. Our small group had an amazing day and I would recommend this trip to anyone. Fun, fun, fun!

  • Zip lining was so fun! Truly. The tram was not working when we were there, so we were bummed, but we received a refund for that portion, and we didn't have to haggle over it at all. Our guide was very sweet though young. The hikes were very nice, and the meal was great. Coming from the States, I usually expect dried out chicken fingers for lunch packages. This was substantial, fresh, and tasty. I recommend this trip - especially for the zip lining. The only unpleasant part was that the mandatory helmets and gloves smell like the several hundred people who have worn them sweating through the rain forest ahead of you.
