After breakfast in your hotel, meet your guide in the center of town for a leisurely paced 2-hour walking tour around Dubrovnik’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town. Starting from Pile Gate, walk along elegant Stadrun Street, soaking up its highlights. Pass Onofrio Fountain – a spectacular dome surrounded by 16 taps – and see the Franciscan monastery with its Romanesque-Gothic architecture.

Hear about the city’s history and culture from your guide as you stroll across to Sponza Palace. Easily Dubrovnik’s most stunning monument, the palace comprises a mix of Renaissance and Gothic architecture in a simple yet grand style. While meandering through the pristine streets of Old Town, your guide will point out more notable attractions like the Church of St Blaise and Rector’s Palace. Continue walking to the main square to see the 18th-century Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin, and then stroll back to the start point where your tour ends. Spend the rest of your day at leisure in the town.

Enjoy breakfast and then check out of your hotel. After a short journey by minibus and ferry, you’ll be dropped off at your Korčula hotel. Spend your day sightseeing independently around this pretty island. After breakfast, enjoy pick you up from your hotel for the 1.5-hour ferry crossing over the Adriatic Sea to Split – the beautiful city back on Croatia’s mainland. Leave your bags and then set off to explore Split’s enormous Diocletian Palace with your guide.

The largest and oldest city on the Dalmatian Coast, Split emerged as settlement that grew around this magnificent palace complex, built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Your tour starts by exploring the cellars in the UNESCO-listed palace to get a glimpse at what life was like here in the Middle Ages. After exploring the massive underground maze, head back up to ground level to see Peristil Square (the ceremonial entrance court) and the Cathedral of St Domnius.

Visit the tiny Temple of Jupiter with its eye-catching frieze and sphinx sculpture from Egypt, and then continue ambling around the palace grounds, seeing other intriguing highlights like the ruins of the Golden Gate. Your tour finishes outside Diocletian Palace, and your guide will point you in the right direction for the Green Market -- the largest and liveliest open-air market on the Dalmatian Coast. Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

  • We found the independent aspect of this tour really met our expectations. The convenience of the pre-arranged hotels and transfers were very good. We did contact the local tour operator to ensure we understood the hotel arrangements and local pick-up and drop-off locations and times. We recommend all who take this excellent tour to do the same. This tour is well worth your time.

  • I can unequivocally recommend this travel group, as well as the trip. The company went out of their way to make sure everything ran I I smoothly, to the extent that when one of the ferries was cancelled due to bad weather, they arranged for alternative travel, and continued to provide the pick up and delivery seamlessly. The format of the trip was great, we were met at each location, transferred to our hotel, and provided with a two hour tour of the area. The guides were all knowledgeable of the history of the area, and willing to make recommendations as to restaurants, etc.The remainder of the time was free, giving us plenty of time to choose things of our own interest. The hotels , while slightly out of town central were excellent and you could reach all areas of interest by walking. Wonderful time and great memories.

  • Really good self driven tour of some wonderful parts of Croatia. The hotels were all great, but our favorite location in the tour was Kocula. What a perfectly idilic location to spend forever ! Dubrovnik was very busy, but loads of sights and restaurants. Mostly for the younger crown. Split was interesting. The Diocletian Palace tours was the best part of Split.

  • Great tour. As advertised and the travel agency was always available.

  • Elite Travel who are the agent in Croatia were fabulous. Airport pickups and drop offs were punctual, even for a 4.15am pickup in Split. Transfers took place with ease. Hotels varied but all were clean and comfortable. Rooms didn't usually have a view but most breakfasts were ample and the location of the hotels were within walking distance of tours/experiences and local restaurants. The included walking tours were great, especially in Hvar. I was a bit reticent about booking this tour but have no hesitation in recommending this package. We extended by arriving earlier in Dubrovnik and staying on in Split. Ivana from Elite Travel was excellent and helped to make everything go smoothly. We loved our stay in Croatia and hope to return one day.

  • This tour was just the best. The 7 day, 6 night independent tour gives one the chance to get the feel of Croatia. Croatia is just beautiful and the people are friendly and humble Our trip had seamless pickups, transfers and excellent hotels. The guides in Dubrovnik, Hvar and Split were very friendly and knowledgeable. This particular tour gives you plenty of time to explore on your own which is another plus. Thank you,Viator and Elite Travel.

  • I would recommend this tour to anyone - it was well organized and very efficient - you were able to see all of the history with lots of time to explore on your own. The transportation was always on time and the hotels were great. The only problem with entire trip was the Hotel Globo - hotel was nice, breakfast was amazing but front desk was rude, unhelpful and almost hostile when asked about why the lights in the halls were not on and why our key did not work. Otherwise perfect trip. Will use Viator again.

  • Very happy to have booked this trip through Viator- everything was even better than we anticipated. The transfers, coordinated by local tour company EuroAdria, were on time and seamless. There was always a friendly agent greeting us and helping us get to our next ferry ride or hotel. The hotels were well chosen and we were satisfied with all of them. This tour is perfect if you want to see several beautiful places in Dalmatia, but don't want to worry about how you will be traveling from one place to the next. There were 3 walking guided tours included, which were helpful in getting to know the towns and rich history of the place, but mostly free time to explore at our leisure.
We would love to return to Croatia in the future and would not hesitate to book through Viator again. Thank you for a great trip!

  • Excellent tour! Highly recommend. My friends and I went in mid-April and had a wonderful time. We were very pleased with the booking agent - everything was well-organized and well-planned and there were no problems to report. All of our transfers were on-time and the drivers were very pleasant. Each one of the hotels was excellent. The contact at EuroAdria tours responded to all the questions we had. Also, each of the tour guides - in Dubrovnik, Split and Hvar - was excellent. The tour includes a free day in Hvar and we went not during beach season so, instead, we booked a tour through Secret Hvar and the guide took us all around the island. It was one of the highlights of our trip. For those not as interested in going to the beach, we highly recommend the Secret Hvar Island tours and we think that it would be great if Viator offered this tour as a supplemental option for people interested in seeing more than just Hvar town. It's a beautiful island with so many interesting places to see - there's no reason not to venture out if you have the time. Our Secret Hvar tour included a trip to Stari Grad the oldest town on the island, wine-tasting, and a visit to some historical abandoned villages. My friends and I went during shoulder season and this meant that we did not have to deal with hordes of tourists but the weather was very lovely for sightseeing.

  • Dubrovnik is a fantastic location, we really loved the old town, public transport and food were excellent. Accommodation exceeded our expectations in all of the hotels, though all of the rooms were on the non view side of the hotels. The transfers were really well organised and the walking tours were enjoyable and informative. I'd recommend this tour to others.
