4 stars as matter beyond of their control. Only one shark and 20 boats so we only dove once. Boat was real goid, creo very good and food excelent. Would use again.

Nice early pick up from Excellence Playa Mujeres and driven straight to the marina. Groups were organised and we were introduced to our rep and taken to our boat. It’s groups of 10 per boat and travel takes about 1hr, there are a dozen plus boats all heading to the the same destination at similar time. We were given plenty of information and guidance and instructed how it can be luck of the day. If there’s only a few whale sharks vs lots of boats it can take hours and only get restricted “jumps”. Overcrowding the whale sharks, touching etc are prohibited and taken very seriously by captain and rep etc to preserve the experience and protect the whale sharks. We were lucky on our excursion with an abundance of whale sharks well spread out so all on our boat could enjoy the experience. Equipment provided but you do need to be ready to jump in swim in the same direction as the whale shark to get the most of the experience. It can be challenging balancing on the edge of the boat, flippers on, snorkel, Holding your go pro all with the motion on the sea. Tips: (1) have fully charged go pro ready. Press record before you get in water. You won’t have time once your in the water. (2) Take anti sickness. It’s extortionate to buy at hotel so bring you own and even if you don’t suffer motion sickness the journey is 1hr plus and not the smoothest follows by jumps into sea and the salt water and heat will not help. (3) you cannot apply sunblock prior to jump. Put it on thick at hotel and cover up. They sell whale shark white long sleeve tops which repel the sunlight and nice souvenir.

Hugo was our tour guide and was excellent! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and full of jokes! Andres was a confident, safe driver who accommodated all of our needs. James was the captain. He prepared us ceviche and it was delicious. Danny Boy was the sails-man who swam in the water with you. I recommend taking dramamine even if you do not normally get motion sickness!! We took an underwater case and it was great for swimming with the whale sharks and capturing the moment. Isla Mujeres was beautiful and a great spot to enjoy the lunch provided and the water.

Es una excelente experiencia, yo soy flor de asfalto y salir al contacto con la naturaleza es difícil pero con Ecocolors pude saltarme mis miedos y sumergirme en medio del mar con varios tiburones ballena y rodearme de adrenalina y belleza. El trato es excepcional, cálido y muy responsable. Y al final se superan las expectativas. Muy recomendable para primerizos como yo. Gracias
