We booked this tour as our honeymoon and were very excited to go. Unfortunately, our experience of the tour was filled with disorganised confusion, lots of waiting and feeling very disappointed.
To start with, we never received a detailed confirmation of the tour and hence we landed in Sri Lanka, not knowing which hotels we were booked into or what activities each day consisted of. Few days prior to the tour commenced, we attempted emailing the company to confirm of our trip but we heard nothing back. Im the end, we messaged the, on their Facebook page and finally got a brief confirmation message. Once we landed, whilst our private tour guide/driver was kind enough, he had limited English capacity and hence at times, we were confused as to what was going on, or getting any answers to our questions. The tour often consisted of the driver quietly stopping the car, gesturing us to get out of the car to go on some form of tour/ activity, and we would be confused as to where we were or what kind of activity we were meant to be engaging in. To make the matters worse, the driver also seemed to be lost as to which hotels were booked into. Everyday, he would ask us for the name of the hotel that he was taking us to. We would tell him that we never got that information and hence did not know. He would then repeat the question several more times. Then the next day, the same conversation would occur. Just when we thought things could not get worse, one of the hotels we stayed at attempted to charge us - as it turned out, our driver/tour guide took us and checked us into a wrong hotel.
My husband and I have travelled around quite a lot and we never had the experience of wanting our trips to cut short - until this one. Very disappointing.
