  • I would definitely recommend this tour - a great way to see Romania, especially on your first visit. Our guide was Paul who was very accommodating, knowledgeable and a terrific driver. We got to see everything we wanted, plus more. The hotels were all very different from modern to historical and the locations were great so that when our tour ended for the day, we could walk around the city on our own. The least favourite site was Lake Saganov Monastary cost 15Lei per person and there was virtually nothing to see inside. The favourite town was Brasov - lots of activity and restaurants. The best hotel was Hotel Transylvania in Aba Iulia. The favourite meal for ambiance not the food was in the torture chamber of the Hotel House of Dracula 4 Star, a replica of Dracula's Castle. Peles Castle was our favourite castle very busy though and we only found a 1-person washroom so there was a very large line-up. When in Romania try a Hungarian Kurtos-Kolac - covered in nuts or sugar/cinnamon - they are found at many stands throughout.
