Know More about this tour

Our "9 Tastings" food tour starts from the Freedom square - the heart of Tbilisi.
Follow your guide through the tiny streets of historical Sololaki district, where you can still find traditional yards, carved balconies and simple Tbilisians living in eclectic houses of Art Nouveau.  The district is popular among locals because of it´s beautiful architecture and authentic Georgian lifestyle.
On our way we will stop at several gastronomic spots, representing the vast variety of Georgian food - both traditional and modern.
You will visit an old tavern like restaurant with the best khinkali in town, a modern gallery - restaurant, specializing in West Georgian dishes adding a personal flavor to them, a typical street bakery, that school children and grandmas both love, a diner, where the office workers come for their lunch, a trendy café that is hidden in a traditional Tbilisi yard, the best chacha shop of the city and the local craft beer bar.
The menu is large and can be fully vegetarian, if you request. Wine, chacha and beer tastings are included.

Niniko met us at our meeting point as scheduled and we promptly started our tour. As we walked, she shared stories about the neighborhood and it's roots. We had two children (age 10) and she was fabulous interacting with them, as well as us. The food was delicious; a varied sample of traditional cuisine. She made us feel like we were having lunch with an old friend catching up on life. We left full, happy and with a deeper understanding of Georgian culture. Thank you Niniko.

4 main stops - food, cha cha (drink) tasting, more food (lots) with wine, then last stop for coffee. Each place unique. Food excellent. Our guide, George, was fantastic. Personable. Very knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Tbilisi and Georgia. Good English. Walking was moderate along the streets. No climbing. Very definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

This is a great tour to sample ( be hungry) several dishes of Georgian food . The 3 course was at a lovely restaurant with homemade food that was delicious. And you get a chance to sample different shots of chacha made from the fermented wine. Ended the tour on second floor balcony to relax with tea and dessert. All in all a really great food tour
