Know More about this tour

This massive and ornate cathedral is the second-most important place of worship in Ethiopia (ranking behind the Old Church of St Mary of Zion in Aksum). Its also the celebrated final resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie and his wife Empress Menen Asfaw. Their massive Aksumite-style granite tombs sit inside and are a sight indeed. The solemnity of the interior design contrasts sharply with highly the charged emotions of many pilgrims. It's a fascinating place.
The collection on show at the National Museum is ranked among the most important in sub-Saharan Africa. It is the home of world-famous Lucy. Her 1974 discovery in the Afar region of northwestern Ethiopia changed our understanding of human origins forever.
Ahh, if only all cafes were like this! Coffee is serious business at this great high-stooled Italian cafe (around since 1953) in Piazza. The beans are roasted on-site (you can literally smell them from a block away) and Tomoca serves some of the capitals best coffee. Beans are also sold by the half-kilo and there's an Ethiopian coffee map on the wall.

It was a great experience. The tour guide( I think his name is Younes, I forget.. starts with a Y) was informative and very kind. I felt very safe as a solo traveler. I recommend this trip for sure!

Visit of the market was very interesting and I enjoyed having local guides that could allow me to discuss and learn about Ethiopia.

We have used ETT nearly half a dozen times to book trips in Ethiopia and have nothing but positive things to say. Maria and her team are extremely knowledgable, very professional, and have a excellent attention to detail. We have done trips both with our friends and without and they were able to match up the itineraries accordingly based on our needs and interests. We will be using them again for an upcoming vacation this coming summer. Would highly recommend them without any hesitations.

The driver was on time but could not communicate well in English. There was no tour guide. We wasted three hours and my guest was upset and felt sick. We had to go home. I called the operator and he apologized and offered us a full day's tour another time but unfortunately my guest is no longer interested. I want my money refunded.

This makes for an interesting short activity. The tour lasted five hours, although at least one was spent going to the operator’s office and picking up the guide. No coffee offered as was promised in the description. However, a visit to Entoto Park and the church of Saint Mary was included, which was very nice. We made it to the national Museum five minutes before closing time so could only be there for 10 minutes. If this is your objective, start the tour earlier. I started mine at 14:00. The drive around the Mercato was also disappointing, as everyone was already picking up their merchandise and stores closing. The four stars are for the first church and the Holy Trinity Cathedral. This last one was absolutely great, with the local staff explaining the Stained glass decorations and other facilities. The guide, Netsanet, was good company and offered some insights into local culture. To be fair, I booked the tour two hours before starting time, and I was the only customer today, so I feel it was a last minute set up. Would suggest to do it in the morning.

Booked a half day tour with them with 3 items on the agenda: holy Trinity Church, national museum and a renowned coffee place. The tour was supposed to start at 11 but they were 40mins late in the pick up. Although I understand they have no control over the Addis traffic (which is horrendous). Our tour guide, Muller, did a great job of sharing the information about the various places and the car provided to us was also very clean and relatively new. Muller by far was the saving grace of what I thought was a lost cause of a trip considering our time constraint and addis traffic. I would highly recommend hiring Muller as your guide. He did a good job explaining things in English, navigating us through the traffic and showing us various places, took us to a coffee ceremony, Ethiopian lunch and made our experience all over a lot of fun! Cheers! Till we meet next time Muller :)
