Your thrilling mountain bike ride starts at the departure point at 9am for bike and helmet rental. You'll meet your guide here for the day as well. After 30 minutes of prep and going over the itinerary for the day, you'll head off on your e-bike north away from the city.
After 4 km, you'll pass by the old Fiames train station, and just after that you'll enter the Pezzovico tunnel with the typical shape of the train chimney. Right after that, you'll cross the iron bridge over the gorge of the Rio Felizon where you will have your first stop.
After the bridge, you'll turn left on a technical path that will take you a few minutes to cross the main road connecting Cortina with Dobbiaco. You'll then cross through the underpass and, passing behind the red roadhouse, the group will go down in the locality of Sant Hubertus where the road starts to Rifugio Ra Stua.
This road is paved and closed to private vehicle traffic in the high season, but is populated by shuttles on their way to the Dolomites National Park. After ~20 minutes, you'll arrive in Ra Stua; a beautiful pasture populated by many animals.
After passing this area, you'll continue on a dirt road going through Val Salata area; after ~10 minutes, you'll arrive in Campo di Croce. This will now be the start of the most challenging part of the trail: a long diagonal climb with increasing steepness. It will take a good amount of skill to stay in the saddle, even with the electric bicycle.
After another 300 meters the steepness begins to decrease, and you'll continue with confidence until the border of the Senes and Braies natural park. After passing the border, you'll travel through some crossroads which leads to Rifugio Biella for a well-deserved pit stop.
Going back along the same road, at the junction with Val Salata, you'll now go in the opposite direction and pass through Senes, a charming alpine village. There will be another stop with a traveler's stop/hut that offers excellent food service (at own cost).
After the break, you'll continue the journey downhill towards the small village of Fodara Vedla. Finally for the return trip, you will head towards the Rudo lake and immediately begin a fun descent along the military road that takes you to Campo di Croce. You'll arrive back to Cortina around 5pm along the way you came.
