Khao Lak is a series of tourist-oriented villages in Phang Nga. It is known for its tranquil beaches, lush greenery and proximity to national parks. The region offers abundant nature-based activities i.e. trekking in jungles & mountains, bird watching and elephant trekking. Despite devastating 2004 tsunami, Khao Lak has recovered and continues to be a popular tourist destination.
