Such a great value! Learned so much from the best tour guide ever. He was super knowledgeable, funny and engaging. The cherry on top was the opportunity to explore the museum at the end of the bus tour. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, hopefully this review encourages you to just do it

Our tour guide Dre made the tour a memorable experience. His knowledge of our history, his driving skills and his ability to connect with strangers even those that were difficult was impressive. He had answers to most questions. I will definitely do this tour again.

Everything about the tour was fine, but I believe there should have been a ride back to the location we were picked up at.

  • 04-Nov-2022

The knowledge and information shared by Dre our tour guide was absolutely amazing. The weather was so nice that they were able to take the top off of the tour bus which was fantastic

Many museums tend to focus on large stories such as wars, but the African American History Museum offers more than that, and it prioritizes smaller stories of civil rights activists just as much as it talks about the larger names such as Martin Luther King Jr. This makes the experience much more interesting as it seems like every single topic is just as important as every other, which really represents the fight for freedom as a whole as every single step made means the same as another. Overall, this museum was very well created, and was very interesting for me to learn about, and I would most definitely love to come back in the future to witness the exhibits once more for a chance at learning more about anything I may have missed, as well as seeing new exhibits which may become available in the future.

The tour guide, Dre, was very informative and humorous. He kept the entire tour engaged, while educating everyone on the black experience and history of Washington D.C.. The driver, Joe, was very helpful and attentive to the tour guests. Together they made the whole experience memorable. Thank you.

Outstanding guide who shared important background information to all our stops. Enjoyed seeing Howard University, Lincoln Park, and the King Memorial.

  • 29-Oct-2022

The tour was great the tour guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. He went above and beyond to make sure all guests were taken well care of

  • 24-Oct-2022

I wished the description online clearly stated what time you would arrive at the museum after the other visited locations. I thought the tour was over at 2 pm after a 10 am start. We had a 5 pm flight out of BWI. I appreciate the guide expediting our tour so we could get I to the museum at 1 pm instead of 1:30 pm. I was worried about getting to the airport so couldn’t enjoy my stay at the museum. The guide was super knowledgeable about the true history regarding the impact African Americans have had and still have on DC and the world. I never knew the woman who invented GPS was African American.
