Know More about this tour

“I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” These unforgettable words are inscribed on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. For millions of future Americans, her torch was the first thing they saw on their arrival to this new country. She stands proudly in New York Harbor, lighting the way to better life for so many people.

Meet your guide at Battery Park in midday. Start the tour by examining the collection housed inside the Pedestal Museum, from the original bones of the statue to one of the first flames of her torch. Then make the climb to the top of the pedestal and enjoy unparalleled views of the NYC skyline at her feet. Explore the island on your own, or grab a quick bite before rejoining your guide. If time permits, the tour will also visit Ellis Island.

Important:  The wait times at the ferry and security lines during the afternoon tour is much longer.

  • This tour was amazing. Our tour guide Jared was funny and informative. We had a small group so it was very efficient. With us taking the late tour to The Lady Liberty we weren't guanteed Ellis Island. If you want to do both do the early tour.

  • This tour was the highlight of our NYC trip! Frank was a fabulous guide: lots of personality, anecdotes and knowledge. We would book this tour, with Frank, again!

  • Tour was great. Very interesting learned things I did not know even as a long time nyc resident. My young grandson also enjoyed all of the tour and Frank was a great guide. Very helpful and knowledgable plus always making each tour participant was comfortable and got through all of the annoying obstacles security as easily as possible.

  • Alice was an amazing tour guide and story teller! We brought an 8 year old and a 10 year old and she kept them engaged for the entire time. Totally recommend her and it was WAY better then going with the crowds!

  • Our tour guide was quite personable and funny. She was very informative and could answer all of our questions. She also did a good job keeping the group together and that was not easy.

  • We have been to the Statue of Liberty many times but never with a guided tour. We had our 14 year old niece with us and opted for the tour. Best decision we ever made. Alice, our guide, was one of the best guides we could have hoped for. We have had many guides, especially in other countries or islands and she by far surpassed anyone we've ever had.She has a natural delivery and knows her history like the back of her hand. Never hesitated on any questions asked of her, went out of her way to find out a little bit about everyone on the tour and had a great personality. Will request her on future visits for sure. Thank-you Alice!

  • This was a very nice tour. We had a small group and the tour guide kept us together and got us through the lines and gave a lot of information about the Statue of Liberty. I would recommend this to other people. I have been to the Statue of Liberty before but never on a tour and I learned a lot.

  • We had Alice as our guide and she was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, organized, and entertaining. I highly recommend going with viator if it's your first time going to statue of liberty.

  • Daniel was our guide and he was excellent, expert and very knowledgeable, along with being very friendly and a thoroughly nice guy. We enjoyed our trip with him and his knowledge was faultless. Our only concern would be that when we arrived to collect our tickets, we went to the ticket booth and were alarmed to find they had no knowledge of us and, being from the UK, it seems we'd been swindled, but, then we eventually found Daniel and were delighted that we were on his list. I don't believe I'd read anywhere how to find our guide and so it was quite stressful for a while, being there amongst all the people that were booking tickets, having paid for a full tour and unable to find our guide. Either we were amiss at taking down details of how to find our guide, or it wasn't explained fully to us before leaving England. But, it all ended well in a delightful tour that we would highly recommend.

  • Long lines, but well worth it. Jared, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommended!!
