Know More about this tour

04:00 - Pick up from your Hotel in Negombo & Transferred to Wilpattu national park.07:00 - On arrival at the park you can take your packed Breakfast & start your morning game drive. The sanctuary lies inland from the coast and is entirely within Northern Province. A safari in Wilpattu is very different from any of the other major national parks. Visitor numbers remain very low and even in high season, it's common for there to be no more than a handful of tourist jeeps in the park at any one time. The unique feature of this park is the existence of "Willus" (Natural lakes) - Natural, which gives Wilpattu a wonderful, and genuine, wilderness feeling. Here you can also find huge swathes of dense, dry country woodland, masses of birds and, with a little luck, an impressive array of wildlife including leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild pigs, and crocodiles.12:30  - Picnic lunch will be served at a nice location01:30 - 18:00 -  Evening Game drive18:00 - Transferred back to your hotel in Negombo

it was a very long day but that didn't matter because it was well worth it - Demitha our driver collected us at 4am so it was good to know we were in safe hands for the long drive - he was a good driver - you need to know what your doing on the roads here and he was helpful and looked after us very well. Wilpattu was amazing the guide there were excellent and we were lucky enough to see two leopards as well as elephants, monkeys, deer, mongoose and lots of lovely birds
