Know More about this tour

This all-inclusive dune buggy tour is completely customizable based off what you want to see when in Cozumel. Meet your private guide at your hotel or cruise ship port and embark on your 5-6 hour private tour of the island. Everyone can take turns driving, and if you're tired, just ask your guide to take over! While there is no set itinerary, there are some attractions you probably don't want to miss!
Punta Sur Ecological Park:one of Cozumel's main attractions and located on the southern tip of the island, Punta Sur is a spectacular ecological reserve. Enjoy panoramic views from atop the lighthouse and visit the small nautical museum. Then head over to the mangroves and lagoons, enjoying spectacular views of nature and looking out for crocodiles. You can also visit the small Mayan ruins located at Punta Sur. Admission to the park is included in the tour price.
East side:drive along 7 miles of secluded oceanfront, boasting magnificent white-sand beaches, blow holes, mesmerizing rock formations, caves, secret beaches and off-road paths. Your guide will take you to explore secluded beaches (not those overcrowded ones on the other side of the island) and hidden caves that many tourists never visit.
Beach, lunch and snorkel:when you feel like relaxing, just head to one of Cozumel's best beaches (your guide can help you with that!). Take a dip in the crystal-clear waters or try snorkeling (gear included) amongst colorful reefs and tropical fish. Having built up an appetite, indulge in a traditional Mexican lunch of your choice. You can suggest what you'd like to eat and the guide will be able to cater to your needs (vegetarian option also available).
Afterwards, you can learn about tequila and try some refreshing margaritas before heading back to your hotel or the cruise ship.

This was the most unorganized tour I have ever been on. Do not book with this company. I got an email 2 days before we got on our cruise that the excursion was cancelled by the company. I rebooked the tour and found that I was scheduled again with the same company for $90 more than original. We were on a ship and at that point had to rely on trying to find wi-fi at port and was able to get an email the morning of the excursion saying to show up at 9 am. We get there and the tour person said our excursion was cancelled and another person said we were not to be there until 10:30am. They eventually fixed it and got us a guide to take us in the dune buggies which were not at all dune buggies that you would imagine. The were more like modified compact convertibles without doors. The seat belts did not work and we had to sit four to each car which was disappointing to many of us who did not get to drive. We went tequila tasting and after that went to an area behind the tequila tour which was wooded and a man dressed as a native Mayan blew a shell in our face while we held hands in a circle with our eyes closed. It was bizarre!!!! The only saving grace of the entire trip was the beautiful beach area we stopped at for 15 minutes-the water was so clear and beautiful. Looking back we should have asked to stay there but we were hungry and drove on to lunch. Lunch was a disappointment as the food took forever to arrive and by then we were behind schedule and did not feel we had enough time to snorkel.

To begin with, we had a little trouble finding out where we meet up for this excursion but we were able to find each other! We had 6 members in our group (family) and Jorge was our guide. He was excellent and very informative!! The dune buggy's were really fun and we all fell in love with Cozumel thanks to Jorge!! The lunch was ok and plentiful.

Jorge was amazing! This your being private was the way to go, no lines, no big groups...all his attention was on our family! Amazing time and an adventure we won't forget.

We had a fantastic day with Gismo and Miguel. There was six of us in two buggy's. They made the trip really fun and were happy to do whatever we wanted.
The only thing we would advise, unless you are going to definitely buy Tequila opt out of the visit to the Tequila distillery (in our case 2 visits) - Although it is very informative and fun, pressure is put on you to buy and the attitude changes towards you when you say you will not be purchasing (not by Gismo and Miguel I hasten to add.
If booking this trip - I would definitely suggest requesting Gismo and Miguel. We had a great day and saw all of the island, with lunch and a visit to the beach (we would have been happier to have more time at the beach and miss out the Tequila visit)

We visited Cozumel on February 22, 2019 and had a wonderful tour. Our guide Israel was already at port waiting for our ship to come in and we easily found our meeting spot. Our guide was friendly, funny and attentive to our needs. He came with beer and water and took us to a variety of places on the island so that we really got a feel for a couple different island lifestyles. We had such a great tour that we will no longer consider booking an excursion through a ship, and will always use Viator.
