Trip to the water village was fantastic, The weather was not great, But are tour guide was great her name was Berlin, When we went back to Shanghai city it was heavy rain and misty, So in instead of going Shanghai tower and the bunds, Berlin said it would be a waste of time going up the tower and the bunds as we would see nothing with the lack of visibility, So Berlin took us around Shanghai market and old Shanghai, Which was fantastic and something worth seeing, So thank you for the experience Berlin it was a fantastic day even in the poor weather

We booked a private tour only a few days prior to arriving in Shanghai, however, Alana was able to secure visas for all 8 members of our family and created a customized itinerary for us. She communicated frequently with us to ensure that we would get through immigration seamlessly and she was present to greet us warmly upon our arrival. Our guide, Caroline, was very sweet, knowledgeable and wonderful. She accommodated our requests and make excellent recommendations based on our interests and wishes. We had our elderly mother and 2 very young children with us and she was extremely patient with all of us. We had the very best meal of our entire 2 week trip at a restaurant that Caroline took us to and it was included in the tour package along with entrance fees to all the sites we visited. We felt very secure and safe with the driver. We were on a cruise with only 1 day to spend in Shanghai and it is because of Alana and Caroline that we would all love to return for a longer period of time to Shanghai. I highly recommend this private tour with this company.

Thoroughly enjoyed this private tour. Using WeChat, contact was Alana, who arranged for a comfortable and clean van with a dedicated driver and a guide named Wilson. Although still in his 20's, Wilson was knowledgeable about his hometown and spoke English very well. The morning was spent at the ancient Water Town that included lunch, then a drive back to the city. We went up the Shanghai Tower with admissions tickets included, then Jade Buddha Temple with admissions included. Before returning to our Grand Central Hotel (great place!), we stopped off at the French Concession and did short walk. Aside from the overcast obscured views from the Shanghai Tower we were very happy that we booked this tour. I've been to Shanghai in 1994, 2007 and now 2019 and it has evolved into a fascinating place with dramatic transformations witnessed in each visit.

We were so pleased with our private day tour in Shanghai! Xin, our guide, was absolutely wonderful. We so enjoyed the beautiful Zhujiajiao Water Town, The Sky Tower, and all of the other amazing sights!! Xin showed us around to wonderful shopping areas too! We really appreciated her thorough and comprehensive explanations of our questions and the wonderful lunch at a fantastic local restaurant. When we return to Shanghai, we look forward to seeing Xin again!!

Lynn and Alana were the team of guides. Off to the water village in the AM due to light rain. While a tourist destination is was not crowded and the relaxed stroll through a older villa and village was pleasant. Lines were minimized by the guides and the lunch restaurant was an excellent choice. You ordered what you wanted and it was hot and tasty. Next was the Jade Budda temple complex. A nice surprise and Lynn knew every detail of the temples. Weather let up some so off to the Shanghai Center. Great views of the Bund and Pudong. Almost no lines in the afternoon. Worth te time ad money.

Our guide was Caroline, she arrived at our hotel on time 9am then with a great driver we first went to Zhujiajiao Water Town. Caroline gave us a continuous really informative commentary took us to places we would never have found and then we had lunch in a very traditional and first class restaurant.
After lunch we left the Water Town around 2pm and drove to Tianzifang in the previous French concession district where we explored really interesting places and finally the Shanghai Tower. This was followed by a great dinner, thanks to Caroline we tried some very different dishes. We finally arrived back at our hotel at 8.45pm! A 12 hour tour that was so enjoyable and not tiring. A truly great experience!

The name of my tour guide was Judy. Judy did a great job of showing me around. The schedule was very well planned and we progressed through all the points of interest in a timely manner. The overall plan was a great introduction to the sights and history of Shanghai. Judy was very knowledgeable of the local history and the backgrounds of all the places that we attended. August is a busy season in Shanghai. Be prepared for crowds and warm weather. Overall a great experience!

This full-day tour was definitely a highlight of our trip to Shanghai. Our guide Judy was beyond helpful, very knowledgeable, friendly, and a great conversationalist. She provided lots of useful recommendations, both about food and suggested sights / photo opportunities during the tour, as well things that were near our hotel for afterwards.

On Judy's suggestion we went early to the Shanghai Tower first in order to beat the crowds, and I'd definitely recommend this, the lines can apparently get very long so an early-morning start can streamline things.

Zhujiajiao was beautiful, and the lunch was excellent (especially the fried rice dish and the beef and peppers dish). The marketplace was great, and you should definitely haggle to get better prices (you can always get a much better deal with a little effort).

The Jade Buddah Temple was also very elegant and interesting.

Finally, the dinner option was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend including it. The lamb skewers were delicious, as were the home-made noodles and other dishes (garlic green beans in particular). The juice items on the menu were also very tasty. Make sure to bring a healthy appetite!

Excellent tour. Jane was very professional, informative, and patient. She took us around the charming Zhujiajiao town, and up the Shanghai Tower. She and the driver also accommodated our request to find a filming location of a favorite Chinese drama in the Pudong area. We felt relaxed and comfortable despite the rainy weather. Highly recommended!
