  • While the tour was good and sites beautiful, the bus was uncomfortable, cramped and stuffy.

  • Loved this tour from start to finish, the guide was very knowledgeable about the places we visited as well as the surrounding areas. There was plenty of times were we got to stretch our legs from the coach and take in the surrounding areas views, coffee and use of the facilities. I would love to do this tour again some day.

  • I had wanted to visit Hallstatt for some time so this tour was a highlight of our holiday and was not disappointed On the way we visited Admont Abbey which is a Benedictine monastery and has the most amazing and huge baroque library I have ever seen There are pictures of this on the internet It contains some 200000 volumes of works some dating back to the 11th century and when I asked if people were allowed to see these works I was amazed to find they could and in some cases they allowed them to be taken home. From there we went on to Hallstatt where we had about 2 hours of free time which is enough to have lunch and see most of the village and take advantage of the photo opportunities of this beautiful place. It was a bit overcast but the village is beautiful and it was autumn so more colour. On the way back we were taken to a another palace at another lake. It was a very good day but quite long due to the distance we had to travel. The guide was good and very informative.

  • The tour was simply awesome! Great way To spend a day around breathtaking views and immense knowledge shared by our guide Anna. She was extremely patient, had great knowledge and great guide overall. The monastery library was a treat and Halstatt was an experience everyone must opt for in Austria!

  • What a picturesque little town! We went in January and it was so breathtakingly beautiful. The tour was bilingual which we didn't know- Russian and English. We booked the tour in English but happen to be fluent in Russian so we got the information in both languages. On our way to Halstatt, we stopped at Admont Abbey and it was stunning. We didn't spend too much time there but it was perfect to break up the trip. After walking the library, we enjoyed a little bit of time in the snow and had so much fun! The guide was Russian but spoke great English and was very knowledgable. Overall, it was a great day trip and we saw some of the most amazing views.

  • We had an amazing day. The scenery, the history of the area and town of Hallstatt all like a fairy tale. Good commentaries from the tour guide, quite entertaining, we enjoyed it. There was a lot of driving, but it well worth it.

  • The tour guide was worked very hard and was very nice, and she deserved a 5-star rating. unfortunately, there are some things that's not in her control. The bus A/C broke down one hour into the 13-hour tour, and it was 90 degree inside the bus, with barely any air, it was quite horrible. Also, the reason why we chose this trip and not going to Salzburg is because we want to spend more time at Hallstatt. But we only spent about a little over 2 hours there. My husband and I ate our lunch there but we weren't able to really savor the scenery let alone seeing the church, hiking up hill, salt mine? forget about itbecause after lunch we were rushing against time. I went to a few shops, took a few pictures, that's about it. After Hallstatt we went to another place which is quite forgettable, I don't even know why we had to go there. Admont Abbey was nice, but I didn't need to go there.

  • This was a long day. It started in Vienna around 8AM and you arrive in Admont Abbey around 12-1pm. There was only a 20 minute stop to grab a lunch for to go. You arrive in Admont Abbey to the most beautiful library Beauty and the Beast levels!. I suggest you pay the EUR 5 so you could take photos. It'll definitely be worth it. You arrive in Hallstatt around 2:00 in the afternoon and there's a walking tour included but you can choose not to go if you don't want to. Doing the walking tour won't give you enough time to go around Hallstatt itself though. We didn't join the walking tour but still didn't have enough time to go around the town. Wish we could have spent more time here. Maybe not going to the Abbey and more free time in Hallstatt instead? Also, the guide did not stop talking from 8am til our trip back to Vienna. She also played a German movie which I suppose 70 of the guests couldn't understand on the way back. The driver also kept on turning off the air conditioner which was really annoying since it's hot inside.

  • One of my best time in Vienna. Hallstatt is definitely worth the trip!

  • Worst experience. 11 hours on coach, group told off by guide 2 hours to see anything. Waste of money. Viator have shown a serious lack of concern as to the experience we have received. The 'supplier' have also taken no ownership and lack the ability to recognise people pay for this. Avoid this tour
