  • The tour was more than we've expected and our guide was very informative, funny and despite the bad weather have managed to made us feel really interested in the stories of all the neighbourhoods and interesting parts of Copenhagen we've visited. A really good one, totally recommend it!

  • They gave us the wrong meeting point and forgot to tell us it had been changed, and we ended up mislng the tour!

  • This was an informative, interesting walk around familiar areas of Copenhagen with historical, cultural and social highlights that I had not discovered on my own independent wanderings - with a very special final stop!

  • If you want to see the parts of Copenhagen not in the normal tours and sights to see, this is the tour for you. You will get a little history of how Copenhagen has tried to deal with homelessness, prostitution, and drugs. You'll also find out about the development of the city. But be prepared for a LOT of walking! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and sensitive to participants ability to keep up, waiting for folks to catch up before talking, not a common practice.

  • Interesting to learn how Copenhagen deals with social problems. The tour description indicates that we'll get to see a homeless shelter. We did not -- but we did go to an area of the town where there are some and the services they offer were described. Also, the tour no longer actually goes INTO Christiana. You can do that on your own. The tour description needs to to updated. Also, they do not have a very systematic way of keeping track of who has actually paid so they had to re-check and count the number in the group a couple of times. Maybe have a better way to keep track?

  • I bought this for my mom while I was working. She said they toured the less glorified and real-people part of the city. The biggest disappointment was that the tour guide did not return the group to the meet-up location, just left them somewhere and the group had to find their own way back. My mom was not with anyone, ended up taking a taxi back from a sketchy neighborhood. Very unprofessional and I would suggest you not do this alone in case your guide ditch you, too.

  • We are so glad that we booked this walking tour of Copenhagen. It was a great way to see things that mostly aren't on any tourist lists. Our tour guide, Esben, a native Dane, was very friendly and informative. The tour lasts about two and a half hours and starts at 3 p.m. from the Espresso House near Copenhagen Central Station. From there, we walked through the so-called red light district and Esben explained Denmark's welfare state and the regulation of the red light district. Afterwards, we walked to Copenhagen's meat packing district, an upcoming neighborhood perhaps inspired by Manhattan's own meat packing district. We took the metro from there included to Christianshavn and then Christiania. We got to see a hug expanse of Copenhagen in a short time and learn a lot from a native Dane that we might not find in the tourist guides. After the tour, Esben gave us directions to Copenhagen Street Food a short walk from Christiania, which we would also highly recommend. Sort of amazing that we got all of this information and sightseeing for less than 20 USD!

  • Very mind-opening view of Copenhagen. It showed parts of Copenhagen, most people would probably not find out in a conventional tour.

  • I took this tour in January. It was realllly cold, and dark out, which isn't really the tour's fault. However, there was a lot of just standing around while listening to our guide, who I personally thought was a bit long winded. More walking would have kept me warmer. That being said, it was an interesting and different view of the city. We learned all about how the city deals with the problems of hard drugs, prostitution, and homelessness. Not a pick me up at all per se, but more of an eye opener.

  • The tour guide was incredibly knowledgable about the city and knew what she was talking about. Enjoyed it massively!
