Amagertorv, today part of the Strget pedestrian zone, is often described as the most central square in central Copenhagen, Denmark. Second only to Gammeltorv, it is also one of the oldest, taking its name from the Amager farmers who in the Middle Ages came into town to sell their produce at the site.
Amalienborg Palace is a must for anyone with a taste for royal history and the life of Denmarks royal family who still resides inside the palace.
The Round Tower The 17th century tower and observatory Rundetaarn, or the round tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. When Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was quite famous for its astronomical achievements thanks to the astronomer Tycho Brahe. When he died in 1601, the King wished to continue Brahe's research, and thus the round tower came into being. It has been a while since the scientists left, but the observatory is still used by amateur astronomers and the many visitors. The observatory is encircled by an outdoor platform from which you have a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen.
Christiansborg Palace is a palace and government building on the islet of Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister's Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark.
The Copenhagen Cathedral in its present shape is an unpretentious building in Neo-Classicist style designed by the architect C.F. Hansen. The foundation stone was laid by King Frederik VI in 1817, and the solemn consecration took place on Whitsunday 1829.However, the site of the present cathedral has housed a church ever since Bishop Absalon, the founder of Copenhagen, had a small chapel built on the premises. The original church was erected at the highest point in the town around 1200.
From distance - Tivoli, also known as Tivoli Gardens, is an amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on 15 August 1843 and is the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world, after Dyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg, also in Denmark

I had a very short window in which to see Copenhagen, and stumbled upon the reviews and chose Amitylux. From the beginning until the end, Dan was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and warm. I asked an endless barrage of questions (trying to maximize the little time I had in Copenhagen), and he answered all in great detail and depth. Felt like a private tour. First class operator, first class guide.

Tour guide seemed to be in a rush ! Would have been. Nice to stop and take pictures ! That was the only complaint that I had is that there was too much talking and it enough time to pictures at key sites for maybe 1-3 minutes . New generation likes pictures ! Other than that ! Everything was great and comprehensive ! The tour guide was quite knowable!

Enjoyable and informative walking your that was the perfect introduction to Copenhagen on day one of our trip. It took in most of the major sites, some good knowledge of the Danish Royal family and the history of the city, including the many times it burned down before being built as the city we see today. Who knew? As others have said, the three hours flew by. Our tour guide Lisa went above and beyond to make sure my daughter didn’t miss out on Christmas market hot chocolate by taking us into the brilliant Bastard Cafe to buy a vegan version and recommended the restaurant we then dined at that night.

Dan, an American ex-pat guided us all around Copenhagen on this wonderfully complete tour of this most amazing city. We saw the sites, learned the history, had our questions answered and based on his recommendations, learned what else we needed to do during our short four full days in Copenhagen. Thank you Dan for a fabulously complete view into this most beautiful and amazing city!

Amazing three hours with our excellent guide Silvia: a small group, very interesting information she has shared with us, perfect organization. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see most of the city in a very short time frame 😀

Sylvia was very personable, communicative and knowledgable. We were given a good account of the city’s history and we were guided to many beautiful sites that we may not otherwise have known were there.

Dan was a wonderful tour guide. He was very informative and answered all our questions. You walk past many great points of interest and he gives you the historical significance of it. This is a great way to walk around and helps you know where to go and explore more on your own. I highly recommend.

A perfect tour to learn the history and get a better understanding of an unbelievable city. The perfect length of time for a walking tour to not feel overwhelmed and the best way to see some spots in the city we may not have gone otherwise. Would absolutely recommend!
