Know More about this tour

After introductions with your guide, set off to explore Amsterdam like the locals do: by bike! With around 250 miles (400 km) of bike lanes and paths traversing the flat urban terrain, Amsterdam is a cyclist's dream.
Follow your seasoned guide around the city by bike, as they lead you to well-known local landmarks and lesser-known attractions. No one tour will be the same; each individual guide tailors the route to best show off their local knowledge.
You might start of at Museum Square, home to three of the city’s major museums including the Van Gogh Museum, then cruise onward to the bustling Dam Square to admire views of the classical Royal Palace.
Venture into the infamous Red Light District and observe how grand architecture sits side by side with seedy neon-lit alleys. Hear about the liberal drug and prostitution laws that govern the city, and let your guide point out interesting venues and nightclubs.
Afterward, you might slow things down on a serene ride through Vondelpark, a green oasis in the city, or journey through the much sought-after Jordaan district, a picturesque old working class neighborhood. Alternatively, seek out Anne Frank House, where the young diarist and her family hid from the Nazis.
Toward the end of the tour, sit down for a drink with your guide at one of their favorite local hangouts (own expense), then return to the departure point in central Amsterdam, where your tour concludes.

  • The tour was incredible. Our tour guide, Sander, was funny and knowledgeable and really gave us all a great insight into the city. I would highly recommend for anyone visiting for the first time.

  • Absolutely well worth the time and money. Highly recommend you do this on your first day in Amsterdam as it will assist you in selecting the rest of your tours in the city. Fantastic way to see the city and the best part was the cycling goggle of knowledge of Holland as well as Amsterdam even thou he was British. Comfortable bikes and easy cycling with plenty of stops, Go Mikes Tours

  • I loved this tour!! Our tour guide was great! He was funny, informative, really friendly and made the experience really worthwhile. He was also very honest about Amsterdam's interesting aspects Red Light District and Vondelpark, and offered mildly critical commentary about the city, too. I appreciated that. If you visit Amsterdam and you are physically able you simply must get on a bicycle and pedal around. Hands down, it is the best way to see the city. Do what the locals do. Listen carefully to the rules of the road in terms of bike, pedestrian and auto etiquette. That part is important. If you are older don't let that scare you off from this experience. I am 58-years-old. I took the tour with my 17-year-old daughter. I was by far the oldest person in this tour and I did just fine. Go for it!

  • Very fun tour. This was a really fun tour since everyone in Amsterdam rides bikes so it was fun to engage in something the locals do everyday. Our tour guide was the colonel. He is from Amsterdam so he was very knowledgeable about the city. He briefed us on where we were going to visit, the bikes, and some of the rules to follow while on the bikes. You hit various highlights along the way and stop to talk about the spots/landmarks. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam.

  • great tour very busy and slightly disorganised start due to the large numbers of people

  • At the end of the tour we received a card saying 'I survived a bike tour in Amsterdam'. How appropriate! This is an enjoyable but not a relaxing bike tour. I would recommend this tour to those that want to experience the riding culture, see a bit more of the city and pick up on some funny tid bits our tour guide Pete, was very entertaining!. I would not recommend this tour to those that are expecting to look around as you are mostly riding on the city roads and more conscious of not getting run down by other cyclists! We went on this tour with our teenage sons aged 13 and 16. I would not recommend it for children younger than 13.

  • Nice tour for the price. Simon was my guide. Knowledgeable and good english. Got to see a decent amount of Amsterdam - so I was happy about that. I especially like his demonstration of below sea level in the park and how the houses are established in the canals.

  • This was a very good tour and I highly recommend it. What a great way to learn about a city. I also appreciate that ponchos were provided as we did have to stop and put them on towards the end of the tour.

  • I have always wanted to tour Amsterdam by bike but always felt intimidated about the traffic. Our guide took us on streets that were less crowded and we got to see the highlights! We loved it!

  • Booked a group tour, but the other people cancelled and I got a solo tour! What an awesome experience and a cool guide.
