  • This tour was the perfect introduction to Amsterdam. The group sizes are small, allowing for the group to easily move around the busy streets of Amsterdam. There is a good combination in covering the history of the city, landmarks and hidden gems. Our guide, Sean, was very knowledgeable about both the historical and social elements of the country. Sean also recommended restaurants and other activities in the area. Super tour for anyone that wants to experience Amsterdam!

  • We figured our first morning would be valuable starting off with a tour of the city...and it was. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative of both the history and culture of what Amsterdam was all about. He pointed out many areas that could have been easily missed. He also educated us on the proper etiquette and traditions that would help with our stay in Amsterdam. This tour was a very great way to spend a couple of hours.

  • Our guide Sean was terrific and very knowledgeable about the City of Amsterdam and places within it. It was an enjoyable way to spend the morning and we certainly saw lots. The only thing that would have helped me a bit would have been to have a map as we were going along as I would have been hard pressed to find some of the places again. Other than that very small point, Sean was engaging and we learned a lot about this lovely city.

  • Most of the info we learned on the canal cruise. However we stopped to taste croquettes, and saw the metal sculpture of The Night Watch in Rembrandt square, very impressive. Still we worth doing.

  • Our guide was a little late arriving, but he was very informative. Enjoyed the walk and talk very much. Come dressed for the weather. Rained on and off throughout the tour, but nothing too bothersome. Felt like I got to understand Amsterdam on a well rounded basis - history and current day.

  • our guide was Tyler and he was awesome. He was passionate about everything Dutch and the history, and he had a great sense of humour. The day of our tour was unusually cool, extremely windy and a bit rainy, so that made it a bit of a challenge. But Tyler tried to keep us out of the rain and wind where possible. If you have a layover between flights in Amsterdam, this is a great way to adjust to the change in timezones from North Amerca.

  • Tyler was an excellent guide, with just the right mixture of history and quirky facts. He didn't rush, the tour ran over a little to get all the places covered, and was a great help in getting our bearings round the city.

  • Unfortunately not a great guide, we have used Viator many times and always been delighted but the guides knowledge was poor on this one.

  • The guide was very good. The tour very informative with lots of anecdotes and historical facts thrown in. My only criticism is that the place to meet was wrong. We were supposed to meet at a building with some statues in front but that place did not exist. My husband wandered around the area until he found some other people waiting for the tour.

  • This was a comprehensive four hour walking tour of central Amsterdam. The group only had seven people so there was plenty of opportunity for asking questions of the guide, and for making some custom adjustments in the route to accommodate individual interests. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of life in the city -- history, architecture, local customs, food and drink, shopping, etc. Many suggestions were offered for further exploration. We also enjoyed a mid-tour stop for refreshments at our own expense , and bathroom. A wonderful introduction and overview of the city.
