The candlelight experience of Vaux Le Vicomte was once in a lifetime. Absolutely stunning way to see a castle. The history is a bit amazing - Versailles was inspired by this and you can see why. The dinner is fine - don't expect a 5 star meal but it was tasty and they leave a bottle of wine and water on the table. Fireworks go off from the side of the gardens - I recommend you see them from the fountain halfway down. Short show, but still beautiful. There is a "Champagne Garden" over to the side with tables and chairs. Wonderful place to sit, but they make you move before the fireworks begin so don't plan on watching from there.

    Magical night!

This was one of our favorite evenings of our honeymoon! We took a bus to the estate and had a quick tour by our guide, who then directed us to where dinner was...then we had time to tour the grounds before the candles were lit and then we had a short fireworks show! Fantastic!

Dinner was great, the palace was exquisite and the fireworks magical . My daughter's 13th birthday celebration was surely a memorable time to our family.

This tour was ok, the fireworks were wonderful but not very long in duration. The dinner was in a beautiful location, but the food and wine was not very good. Nice experience but not one for the younger crowd. This tour is great for a more mature crowd.

This tour is a unique way to see a beautiful French chateau...in the evening, with candlelight and fireworks. I recommend this tour to people who are not first-time visitors to Paris, or who are in France for a trip that is longer than a week, as it is a long tour that takes time away from the wonderful city of Paris. Having said that, I wish the tour time was a little longer. There is so much to see in the Palace and on the grounds, that there wasn't quite enough time to see everything before it was too dark. Our tour guide, Simon, did a great job explaining everything to us and providing history of the Palace. Our meal was good, but I was disappointed that the tour did not include the outdoor seating with a view of the Palace. Our service in the restaurant was excellent, however and the three courses were plentiful and tasty.

Have booked many activities with Viator and this is the first one that didnt fully satisfy. It was acceptable but not exceptional. This tour is from ParisCityVision and their two guides made the activity enjoyable. Unfortunately, this is a bit too close to being a tourist trap event. Its compared to Versailles which it pre-dates but it is about 1 of the great palace. There are interesting and historic things to see in the house but in an effort to make it a major monument there are many unnecessary rooms to visit. The upper level is cramped and hot. The lower level rooms are large and more interesting. The gardens are pleasant but not exceptional. The Saturday night dinner and tour doesnt highlight that besides two different modes of transportation to the castle there are also two different Viator dinner options which are not indicated. The dinner with lower priced tour is closer to cafeteria style meal than French Gourmet. The candlelight grounds are nice and the 5 minutes of fireworks are OK, but its a long visit to wait until you can depart afterwards. The best value is likely a day trip.

The Chateau was amazing with all the candles and the show. Only reason I am giving a 4 instead of 5 was the extremely slow service at the restaurant. We were seated with 2 other groups from our tour and had the same waitress. They were waited on extremely well and staff was attentive. We missed our tour of the chateau as we were seated for dinner at 7:40 and did not receive our dessert until 9:45 which we had to continue to ask for. The others in our group were completed and done by the assigned time to meet the guide at 9:15. It was as if we were totally forgotten about. Due to this we missed the tour of the chateau. So basically all we saw were the grounds and restaurant. A bit disappointing.
