After watching the sunrise, enter the interior of the great templeand spend aroundtwo hours exploringthe corridors, central chambers and upper terraces. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our touring at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest. Continue the morning by driving through Angkor Thom city and visit the temple of Bayon.

We end the morningwith a visit to jungle-enveloped Ta Prohm, one of the most atmospheric of all temples. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot rediscovered this crumbling site.

  • very nice experience

  • Our guide was Pireak Chhut Phi and he was a brilliant guide. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the history and the sites of the different temples. He was friendly, talkative, informative and knowledgeable. He helped take many photos in the perfect location and also volunteered to take photos of us well. It was a great experience. Would definitely Recommended!

  • We had a great guide, Mr. Bun who was very well informed on the history and all the details of the temples visited by us. it was unfortunate that we didn't really see the sunrise because of the extremely cloudy weather. So, please do check the weather forecast before booking this tour. Also, clocked about 11,000 steps ...though it didn't feel tiring at all. But wearing closed shoes would be helpful as the walking path is quite uneven. Beautiful temples of Angkor Wat and the Bayon temple. Was wonderstruck with the survival instincts of nature wherein the trees have grown monstrously over the temples at Ta Prohm.....not to be missed.

  • Very nice tour ! Was well organized and our guide knew his stuff. The entry from the back side of the temple where there is almost no crowd was also a nice touch. Definitely recommend this tour !

  • Excellent tour. Our guide, Mr Bun, was very knowledgeable and knew all the best routes to avoid the large groups of tourists. Would highly recommend this tour.

  • Fantastic experience, it was certainly worthwhile getting up early for the sunrise. Our guide Sok with his detailed knowledge of the temples and best way to maximise the visit ensured that we got the most out of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

  • Friendky tour guide tell you amazing and interesting story to you withnair conditioning van!!

  • This was the best tour my wife and I had during our time in Cambodia. Our guide was excellent and had a great knowledge of the temples we visited and was only too pleased to answer all the questions we had. There were only five people on this tour and it was great. We were not rushed and to stand in an area that was 900 years old was truly humbling. To see the sun rise over Ankor Wat was truely spectacular. We highly recommend this tour to all.

  • early rise, smart guide, no line up for tickets, beautiful sunrise, site to remember for a lifetime

  • A very wholesome experience in this tour. The guide Mr.Prin was extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of valuable information.Amazed by the history and beauty of this UNESCO heritage.Would highly recommend this tour. It starts early ,with us going first to the ticket counter and then to the sunrise point , where we see the shades of the horizon near the rising sun, later a detailed view is taken of the Angkor Wat Temple . Then it is followed by a breakfast .We were taken to a good restaurant .Also we were constantly given information in the most interesting way as possible which intrigued us to know more about Hindu and Buddhist philosophy!Overall experience of a lifetime. I never expected we would receive such satisfaction. To add we also had a wonderful group to accompany us with and the driver also did a timely pickup and drop off job. In fact he was early in collecting us!! Thanks a lot to Viator and Journey Cambodia.
