From La Azotea Coffee Plantation iswhere you will learn all about one of the highest quality of Guatemalan coffee known as Arabic coffee, grown under a dense, bio-diversified canopy of shade trees; watch the process and different ways of production that make Guatemalas coffee one of the best in the world. At the end of the tour enjoy a delicious cup of coffee directly from the production area in the same plantationyou will also appreciate a visit to Casa Kojom, a private, educational, non-profit research center and museum dedicated to research, preservation and dissemination of traditional music of the Mayan communities from Guatemala.

Continue through the road known as RN-14 ruta to our second visit beeing a Macadamia experimental plantation that has donated over 200,000 trees to indigenous communities. These trees help replant destroyed forests and serve as remarkably efficient carbon sinks. You will learn about nutritional facts, ecological benefits of it and also discover how this type of nut benefits the Mayan indigenous communities way of working the landscape.
