I visited the estate in 2007 and have just returned in April 2019 with a party of 14. Ages 3 months (baby) to 63, fantastic. The development is outstanding yet the estate is still authentic. I recommend to all.

The estate is located in the valley hidden between the mountains. Outside there is a completely different world than the rest of Jamaica (landscaped parking lots, mowed lawn, all nicely arranged). However, we arrived on Sunday and was unfortunately closed, so we could only admire the beautiful landscape . In Spot, there is a YS falls park, which is worth a visit (on Sundays open).

Ich finde es ist ein Muss Appelton Erste zu besuchen da es zu Jamaika gehört. Es war sehr schön und informativ, und gut gemacht.

After an almost 4 hour drive to the Appleton Estate from Ocho Rios, we finally made it to the Appleton Estate near Cockpit Country. This was my first time in Jamaica so I didn't know what to expect but the drive was filled with great views and was an adventure. When you arrive at the Estate after getting your tickets, you receive a welcome drink or two if you are fast drinker like me :) The tour was absolutely amazing!! to learn about the rum process from Sugar - Cup. I would definitely recommend this tour to any rum lover. I can't remember by tour guide's name however she definitely knew her stuff and definitely made the tour enjoyable. At the end of the tour, there is also a rum tasting, and I was able to take home a bottle of 12 year rum for a very reasonable price. I would definitely say to make the haul and check out this tour because you won't regret it :)
