Eric was brilliant at guiding us through the trails surround the Arenal Observatory. His knowledge of the area was fantastic, and it was obvious he cared about what he did.
Loved the visit to the hotspring, and the generous portions of cocktails served as part of the experience.

Excellent tour. Was our first tour of trip so was a great orientation of rain forest. Easy hike on paved ground and very informative. I usually like more physical activities but it was worth taking time to learn details of the rain forest. Ending in hot springs was also fun, although crowded and a popular stop for tour groups. Tour guide excellent.

The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding of the park and wildlife. I will certainly take more tours with this guide.

I loved this tour with Red Lava Tours. It was 100 worth the money. We were lucky to have a clear view of the volcano. The trip to the waterfall afterwards was fun do go into the waterfall!!! It's not that cold, but I'd recommend bringing a good towel and maybe a light sweater to wear afterwards. But the highlight was the hot thermal river at the end, with the provided drink. Magical!!

Danny was the best tour guide ever. Made the experience even better. It started pouring very hard so we were not able to go to the hot springs but red lava was very accommodating and let us go the next day.

A nice fairly short tour which takes in some of the views from the Arenal Observatory and an informative guided walk through the gardens and national park. Our guide William was very knowledgeable and provided an interesting insight into the ecology, flora and fauna of the area. The trip ends in the hot springs which are ok but not great.
Unfortunately for us the rain and the low cloud obscured the views of Mnt Arenal itself but it was an interesting trip none the less.
