  • When I booked this tour, there were not any reviews to read. My daughter wanted to experience making gelato so I booked our group of four over 3 months before our vacation. When we arrived, there was another mother and her daughter waiting for the class to begin. The guide asked who was participating in the class. I said that I had paid for all of our party, plus there was the other mom and daughter standing there...I felt like they were not expecting us although she checked all of us off a list. To be fair, the guides did give us all aprons, footies, and hats. We went to the back of the store and made banana sorbet, not gelato. We all peeled a banana and then let the two younger ones continue to add ingredients. The guides did explain how to make sorbet and let us sample anything we wanted out of the case. It concluded with us getting a gelato of our choice. It was not a total disappointment, but very expensive for what it was.

  • This was billed as a gelato-making class, but we ended up making a strawberry sorbet just fruit, water, sugar. There were 6 people who had signed up for the class our family of 4 and another party of 2, but there were only 4 cutting boards and the space was very cramped. Therefore my husband and I stood back so that our 2 children could participate, along with the other party of 2. The whole experience was less than an hour, maybe 45 minutes max. The owner of the gelato shop was clearly very knowledgeable, and after the class we were allowed to have unlimited samples of all the flavors in his shop, which my children loved. But the class itself was underwhelming, especially since my husband and I did not really get to participate due to the lack of space. For the price we paid, I expected a better experience.
