Know More about this tour

Your group with a minimum of 2 people can delight on an early morning pick-up from your accommodation to be at the gates of Arusha National Park by approximately 10:00 am. The drive to the park is short; coffee plantations and small towns with busy daily life keep you entertained for the 50 minutes it takes until you turn onto a gravel road and start ascending towards the park gate. Here, an armed ranger will join before setting out across open plains for your leisurely morning walking safari in the shadows of Mt Meru. Heading up the ascent route of Mt Meru gives an interesting perspective on viewing wildlife with great panoramics of the park below. Once back down at the gate, drive the short distance to Momella Lakes for a picnic lunch (additional cost of $10 USD). Here, you can take enjoy a canoeing safari (optional) on the lake or continue with afternoon game drives through the park at a relaxed pace. Late afternoon leave the park to head back to your accommodation.
Mount Meru is a dormant stratovolcano located 70 kilometres west of Mount Kilimanjaro in the country of Tanzania. At a height of 4,562.13 metres, it is visible from Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day, and is the fifth-highest mountain in Africa, dependent on definition.

Traveler Reviews

Took the tour the last day of my 1 week trip, flying out at 8:50pm, tour lasted 7:30am - 5pm, paid the tour company to drop me off at The airport at the end of the tour. Worked out perfectly.

After a six day safari visiting Serengeti, ngorongoro, tarengeri and lake manyara, I was not expecting much. But it is beyond my expectations! The walking safari was the highlight. We were lucky to run into a family of 5 giraffes right at the start of the walking tour. It's amazing walking on soft grass grounds, 10 meters from giraffes, 50 meters from a few buffaloes, with another huge herd of buffaloes 100 meters away on the other side of a small creek, with mountain meru as the background There are also a lot of sighting of baby giraffes, in addition to flamingos lake, hippos lake, lot of monkeys. It's mostly a rain forest, very different look from the other parks. A great way to end my first safari!

My guide was amazing. It's low season, I was the only guest in the car, just like a private tour. Highly recommended!

Not bad, I was just glad the company was able to accommodate my reservation, as I was a solo traveler. Guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
