Meet your private guide outside Ashdod Port and travel to Jerusalem by air-conditioned coach, roughly two hours away. As you enter the city, stop to admire the views from the Mount of Olives, gazing out at the Dome of the Rock at Temple Mount Esplanade.
Travel through Kidron Valley, past the monumental burial tombs at the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was said to have prayed before his crucifixion to the walls of the Armenian quarter of Jerusalems Old City.
Stretch your legs on a walk, ambling along the old Byzantine main road, and stop to admire the Western Wall, nicknamed the wailing wall after the vast crowds of worshipers who use it as an open-air synagogue. Soak up the atmosphere and continue through the Jewish quarter to the Christian quarter for a walk along the Via Dolorosa. The road was once an important pilgrimage route for Christian visitors, believed to mark the way to the site of Jesus crucifixion at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Wander away from the Christian quarter and check out the Muslim bazaar, a bustling place where Hebron glass and Armenian pottery knickknacks are sold alongside spices and coffee. Browse the stalls with your guide and soak up the colorful atmosphere, before leaving Jerusalem for Bethlehem roughly half an hour away.
The hub of activity in the holy town is Manger Square, a sacred site thats flanked by the Church of the Nativity and the Mosque of Oman two important places of worship for Bethlehems different religions. Stroll around Manger Square to see the places of significance from nativity stories, such as the Milk Grotto where the Virgin Mary was said to have nursed the baby Jesus. Visit the Roman Catholic Church of St Catherine as well as the towns ornate Greek Orthodox Church, and then travel north to Ashdod Port where your shore excursion finishes.

We had a wonderful time on out tour with Offer (our guide). He was very knowledgable and very accomaditing to our special needs group. Thw problem was with pickup at the pier. It was a horror story getting to our guide. Easy pickup at the pier it wasn’t and this was for a private excursion! We met our driver at the shopping mall!

Our trip was outstanding and very personalized! We had done many things in Jerusalem on the previous day, so our guide was wonderful about taking us to different places. He was on time, funny, good English and full of interesting information. He provided us with an outstanding biblical expert to walk us through the Church of Nativity. We could not have been more pleased with our day!

Excursion on Sunday 4th September. Some initial problems because the WhatsApp customer service was unable to coordinate the pick-up at the port of Ashdod. We therefore left with an hour late. However, the day went on the best way thanks to our guide Itamar. A truly exceptional guy, very professional and prepared but above all passionate about his work. He literally made me love this visit to the holy places. Thanks Itamar!

A recommander !!!

The is a great way to quickly get into Jerusalem without the issues of a larger group. Our guide, Rom, provided a nice agenda and gladly accommodated changes based upon our preferences. He provided a balanced mix in explaining historical points, cultural differences, and political background. Highly recommended for visiting this "bucket-list level" destination.

Just back from this trip...I have to say the rubbish in Bethlehem is a disgrace...dumped fridges and 3 piece suites all over the place ......to be fair the guide apologised but said even with jewish funding the muslims just don't care......so sad.... won't return.
-
The trip itself is fine, specially for religious people. Yoav tried to do his best to show everything possible, however it wasn't easy to do since it was raining that day. Nevertheless Yoav used his humor and made this trip fantastic.

Our guide Eli was amazing. Local and could not have asked for a better experience. One of the best days of our 18 day trip.
