Our driver and guide was Kelsey, who did a wonderful job describing what we were seeing, telling stories related to each of the sights we stopped at. She made it a really enjoyable day. The Icefield Highway was magnificent, the lakes we stopped at were beautiful, and walking out onto the glacier was something to remember for a long time. Definitely recommend it!

The glacier on its own is incredible. We took the bus not knowing you can book a walking tour instead which is less harmful to the planet. I heard there is also a local tribe that offers walking tours. I wish we did this. The busses are diesel, so tons of carbon being put out through the day. The glacier ticket adds the skybridge by default, which was something I could happily skip and save 45min or more of my day. After the glacier, the bus takes you to the skywalk. I wouldn’t feel bad if I had just sit in the bus and stayed on to the last stop to go home. Maybe the view is better in snow? We couldn’t figure out why they had done so much to the environment to build that skywalk there in that spot when the view from it is at is a 2.5 on a scale of 1-5. It just didnt feel like a huge drop below bcz it wasn’t waaaay high up.
