The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world, extending all the way to Kea and the Peloponnese on a clear day. The Temple of poseidon was built in 44 B.C., and many of its original Doric columns are still standing. One of the columns has a graffiti left by none other than Lord Byron in the early 1800s. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We went with the tour in English and our guide was Demetrius. Demetrius was a very indepth and knowledgeable guide. He gave a full and indepth history of the landmarks and sites visted with lots of interesting facts and information. We came from NZ and opted for the full day, we got to see the original Olympic stadium, the Acropolis/Parthenon, Athina Nike Temple, The Acropolis Museum, and Poseidons temple (with a few other landmarks in between) the tour of the Museum was in depth and enjoyable. The drive to Cape Sounion was beautiful as well as Poseidons temple and the surrounding area. I definitely recommend the full day tour, lunch is included in the price and you can get some delicious Gyro's from one of the local restaurants. Very glad we went with this Tour.
I didn’t know the full day tour would be such a long day, but it was worth it. Got to see so much & met some nice people! The tour guide was wonderful, took her time with places & information but was still fast paced. It was a wonderful experience that I would do again!
Please pay attention: The tour company is collecting 40 euros for each individual in addition to the price you paid to book this trip. They said that if. We don’t pay we won’t se the museum, the acropolis and the other site. So it ended up 170+ for each person. 😳
Our tour guide Dimitri was very knowledgeable and worked tirelessly to make sure we saw every site and knew about the history of everything.
Such a fulfilling experience. My tour guide was super knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. What an awesome day!
Very poor customer service in the restaurant. It took close to an hour to get the main dish for our lunch while regular customers got theirs faster. One of the waiters was really rude. Great guide Helena. The visits to the Acropolis, the museum and Poseidon Temple were great
We enjoyed the Acropolis, museum, and lunch was superb! Unfortunately, due to the tour starting a few minutes late we were unable to attend the trip to the Temple of Poseidon. The 3 star was because it was unorganized, 20 more people then expected & very little free time to wander the Acropolis & museum. It appeared the stop at the stadium was for a group that was added to ours. We felt frustrated. We would definitely recommend only a small group tour or a private tour.
Had such a great day with Anastasia! She was fantastic and so smart. By having us do a little theatrical play, we were able to "relive" ancient Greek times and that was an amazing experience; something you don't usually see on a tour. Her and our driver Nicholas made sure we didn't miss our flight right after the tour by stopping and dropping us off at a taxi. That was above and beyond! Thank you so much!
It was a wonderful day. Anastasia was the most knowledgable and kind guide. We will remember our day for a very long time. Janis B
