Know More about this tour

Day 1: Athens Sightseeing Tour and Half-Day Cape Sounion Trip
Youll be picked up at your Athens hotel in the morning and taken by comfortable, air-conditioned coach on a sightseeing tour. With your guide, explore the citys historic and modern sites, including central Omonia Square and Constitution Square. Drive past the Panathenaic stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, and visit Athens crowning beauty, the Acropolis.

Stop by the famed Parthenon, Athena Nike Temple and beautiful Porch of the Maidens, and learn more about The acropolis and its ruins at the Acropolis museum.

Enjoy free time to relax and enjoy lunch (own expense) before embarking on a journey to Cape Sounion in the afternoon, passing the idyllic beaches of the Saronic Gulf along the way.

Arrive at the astounding Temple of poseidon, a gleaming white beacon perched on a rocky hilltop overlooking the Aegean Sea. Your guide will tell you all about this incredible site, which was built in 44 BC. Afterward, youll be dropped off at your pre-booked Athens hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Delphi Day Trip
In the morning, relax on the drive to Delphi, making several brief stops along the way. Arrive at the archaeological wonder and take a guided tour, where youll learn how the site was dedicated to the worship of Apollo and was once home to the most important oracle in the classical Greek world.

Visit Delphis most important building, the ancient Temple of apollo, now a poignant collection of pillars and steps. Follow the sacred path to the restored Athenian Treasury, a classic temple designed with Doric columns.

Youll also visit the sites stadium, where musical competitions and the Pythian Games, similar to the Olympic Games, were held beginning in 776 BC. Then, visit the archaeological museum, filled with gold, bronze and ivory statues, and enjoy a Greek lunch in the nearby modern-day town.

After your tour, reminisce on your amazing Greece experience on the way back to your Athens hotel.

Acropolis was very crowded due to cruise ships. We thought we were doing Delphi on Sept. 12, thus Acropolis on Sept 13 would have been less crowded and had more time on site and at museum due to bad traffic. Delphi and Poseidon tour guides were very good.

So I would recommend parts of this - and I did a lot of research before booking. I did see a lot of people in the reviews talking about the tour guide for the Athens and Acropolis being a bit.... long winded. I have to admit, sadly, it’s very true. She was very nice but needs to shorten her information. That being said it was a well organized tour. They picked us up at a hotel around the corner from ours on both mornings. You tour Athens, the Acropolis, and the museum of you want to (we did but I did not think it was a must see- I think I would’ve preferred to walk the Plaka instead). You then go on the second party to Cape Sounion with another tour guide- she was great- very sweet and good story teller. The Cape and Temple of Poseidon are awesome and a very cool site. The next day (or vice verse whatever you decide) is the Temple of Delphi- SO WORTH IT- great tour guide, Helen, knowledgeable, wonderful stories, projected her voice so you could hear and kept the tour moving at a great pace. We did get the lunch option and it was really good and filling with an AWESOME view. The drive is about 2.5 hours but it gives you a chance to see the Greek landscape. We got home around 7PM. I would definitely recommend this part of the tour and probably find a different company for the Athens morning. Btw, we didn’t get to see the Temple of Athena or gymnasium on this- but yes to Temple of Apollo and the rest with the museum. All your tickets throughout are paid for - museum, Acropolis, etc.

We had this tour booked and unfortunately there was a strike so ALL government attractions were closed down! CHAT tours informed us of this and offered some other tours in lieu of this one. They were very apologetic (no fault of their own) and our $$ was refunded within 3 days. I plan on trying this tour again on my next trip to Greece and will stick with CHAT tours as they were professional and as accommodating as the circumstances would allow.

Great tour would definitely recommend. The city tour does not quite cover all the sights so should leave time to walk around on your own or use the hop on/off bus to make sure you see everything. The Acropolis museum was definitely worth it and the Cape Sounion Trip and Delphi Trip were both beautiful.
