This was our first time visiting Krakow and for us the camps were a must see. We are so glad we booked the guided tour. We originally booked the larger coach tour but offered the smaller party tour if we went the day before. I’m glad we did, the driver was polite, ready exactly on time and we felt safe. At the camps we were met by our tour guide, a lady with a clear passion and knowledge of the subject. This really made the visit that much more thought provoking and memorable. Thank you, this is an experience that will stay with us forever. I’d highly recommend the company and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. We also bought the packed lunch which saved us the hassle of buying one ourselves and we felt it was good value for money.

I booked a premium service with hotel pick up 6 months in advance to Auschwitz and Birkenau, only to be told 3 weeks beforehand that the bus would not pick us up because the road we were on was too narrow (plenty of buses were driving up and down so this was complete rubbish). Instead we were met at the pick up point by the rudest man I have ever met in my life, talking to customers like we were children! Abrupt, miserable, and raising his voice when we asked whether we could put our belongings in lockers. The tour itself was like we were competing as to who could finish first. You had no time to read any of the artefacts or study the photos before being ushered into the next room because another tour was right behind you. Constantly power walking to catch up with your group and battling to take a quick photo is not something that should be done in such a thought provoking place. The camps themselves were interesting and having already known through research the horrors that went on, the tour was not at all reflective of this and I feel did not do it justice. Our tour guide, whilst informative, told us we would not be able to see the crematorium or gas chambers, with no apology or explanation? Why, when we had paid over £80 for a tour? Avoid this company at all costs and pay to do your own tour, take your time and fully appreciate the atrocities that went on here. Seems this company only cares about your money and not portraying the true story of Auschwitz and Bireknau.

Very prompt pick up. Very early start but well worth not being with all the boards of people. The tour guide knew her subject well and even though she must do it day in and day out it was not monotone. Highly recommend. Everyone should visit and learn about the atrocities that happened.

The driver was excellent, but there was some delay in actually starting the tour once we arrived as we had to wait for another group. The tour guide through the facility was outstanding, very knowledgeable, excellent English, appropriate demeanor for such an awful sight, and answered questions well. Very patient with slower members of the group. The facility is overwhelming. Something everyone should see so that we hopefully will never do again.

We booked up a day tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau from Warsaw online through Escape2Poland. A few days before our tour we were emailed asking if a Mercedes GLC class car would suffice our needs to which we agreed. Any enquiries we made beforehand regarding the tour were all dealt with promptly and with understanding. Our driver Pawel arrived on time about 8.30am and greeted us with the utmost courtesy. After about 2-3 hours we stopped at a 24-hour McDonald's restaurant for a half hour break then on to Auschwitz Camp. We waited for around 45 mins for the rest of the group to arrive from all over Poland (some were on holiday from New Zealand, from England, Hong Kong, Japan, etc}. Our scheduled starting time was 3.00 pm at which time we were given headsets with radio transmitters and our English speaking guide took us round firstly Auschwitz 1 museum {about 2 hours}, then Pawel drove us to Birkenau where we met up with the group again to continue the tour (2 hours). Our guide was very knowledgeable with excellent English. Auschwitz itself was very busy with many groups being shown round, so their system of having allocated time slots is the only way tourists can see round the camp in an orderly way. After our visit Pawel took us home safely for about 10.30pm. There is much to see during this visit so it is wise to read up about it before your visit. Since Birkenau itself is the size of a small town, to do it justice would require at least 4-5 hours at Birkenau alone. Having said that this tour gives you a good grounding and insight into the dreadful processes which went on there. Escape2Poland were first class all the way through this trip from booking, answering enquiries, catering for your needs, etc. Our driver Pawel was a true gem . We would thoroughly recommend Esacpe2Poland to anyone interested in tours around Poland. They are very experienced and truly professional. Look no further!!

Me and my 2 friends have recently returned from Poland, our main reason for going was to visit Auschwitz & Birkenau. We booked our hotel (Kazimierz Annex) transfers & tour. I would recommend, very friendly & helpful! Very fast when replying to emails! Escape to Poland is very trustworthy and would defiantly book with them again! Auschwitz is a must see, very eye opening trip! Also our hotel was in a good situation, only 5 minutes away from the square. We had a triple room which was really big, one double bed & two single beds! Very good quality for money overall !

We recently visited Warsaw for a wedding and, although it was a long way for a trip, we really wanted to take in a visit the Auschwitz. In the recommendation of a friend, we contacted Escape to Poland who were wonderful from start to finish. Booking was simple - I used the online chat facility to contact the company with my many questions which were answered efficiently and I made the booking. We were advised we would be collected at our hotel in Warsaw at 6.45am in the morning and expected a coach or minibus but, because it was mid November, we were met by a driver in a big Audi saloon, which made for a comfortable trip. The driver could not have been more considerate, and spoke impeccable English. On arrival in Auschwitz he obtained our tickets, made contact with the group we were joining, and took us to the point where we met our guide. At the end of the tour he met us, brought the car around to us and then took us over to Birkenau where, again, he made sure we were with the correct group for the tour. When the tour was done, he met us at the exit and took us back to the car for the long trip back to Warsaw, arriving at the hotel at 8.30pm. The tour around Auschwitz itself was awesome in a terrible way. The guide was very knowledgeable and presented the awful facts in a matter of fact manner which was probably the best way this could be done. The truth itself is horrific enough. The depth of depravity was astonishing. How man could inflict such suffering on fellow man is unbelievable. We left feeling very humbled and are still mulling over what we learnt. In summary, this was a very thought provoking day and the excellence of the service provided by Escape to Poland enabled us to fit this trip into a short break. I would have no hesitation in recommending the company.
