Although you could easily spend a day at each location, this trip was fantastic from start to finish. Our driver David picked us up from our apartment on time and he was very professional.
Our guide met us at Auschwitz and he took us through the camp before meeting him again at Auschwitz-Birkenau to continue the tour. The tour is very powerful and moving. Our guide had great stories as we went through the tour to add to what we were observing. He was very sincere and respectful about what he was telling us.
The salt mines are incredible and completely not what you imagine them to be. See them for yourself.
A long but very worthwhile day out, highly recommend for anyone who does not have a lot of time in Krakow or cannot visit each site separately.
A must see visit when you go to krakow. We went and were very much educated in what happened in the Second World War against the Jews especially
Konrad our driver was polite, punctual, the Mini bus was spacious and comfortable. Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau is an incredibly emotional and meaningful experience. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke English well. The earphones are wonderful as you can hear clearly as Auschwitz-Birkenau is busy with lots of other tours in progress. The same guide took us through birkenau but I would of liked it if we had use of the earphones again as the groups are large and hearing clearly can be challenging. A good breakfast,Comfortable clothing, walking shoes and a bottle of water are essential. Our driver had made a reservation for a late lunch at the restaurant opposite the salt mine which was tasty. The salt mines are interesting and nothing prepares you for the beautiful church made out of salt. The day trip doing both Auschwitz-Birkenau and the salt mines is completely manageable. Lots of walking but a great tour offered by . Thank you Konrad you were an inspirational ambassador. A memorable day we will never forget!
The locations are completely different and both completely worth the trip. The tour was well-planned, our guide was great, and the restaurant where they stopped for lunch had phenomenal food. Well worth the time!
Our guide was wonderful and the tour was informative, enlightening and unbearably sad. I wish we had been able to pause and pray outside the starvation cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe. It was life altering! Thank you
