We were only 5 participants so a small van was used for this tour. Unfortunately, the driver was driving too fast for such a vehicle and made it difficult for us on the back to enjoy the tour. Additionally, the driver and van stunk of tobacco and in a small van like the one we were using, it was extremely unpleasant. The lakes weee beautiful and we had time to explore some scenic villages along the coast. Nonetheless, I would not recommend taking this tour in such a vehicle - we ended up smelling like ashtrays… 😫
Great tour guide very knowledgable and full of good and interesting information . Very polite . Lots of time to see the beautiful sights that Austria has ,
This was a very nice tour . Werner was our guide and was very informative and pleasant . It was a sunny day and the boat ride on the lake gave us a little taste of what it would be like to vacation there in the summer with paddle boarders, sailboats, etc. i thoroughly enjoyed walking through the little town of st Wolfgang. Werner gave us a tour of the "suburbs" of that quaint town as well. Werner speaks perfect English and we had a wonderful experience.
The views of Austria can’t be beat. This tour ensures that you don’t miss the opportunity to take those priceless pictures Our tour was scheduled on a dreary, rainy day. Nevertheless, we took some of the best pictures of our 12-day European vacation on this tour. It’s a great tour.
Hi all, I have decided to visit Salzburg yesterday last night, I booked the tran from münchen and book the ticket for this Tour. The tour deserve every euro spend for and I had good time there. My rate for this Tour is outstanding as I was with our tour guider Mr. Leo. He is very nice person, give us long story about the city and the trip with him was nice all the time. Hi Leo٫ thank you for drop me on the tran station after finish our tour. Your friend from Jordan
This is a beautiful tour of a couple of lakes. The stop was only at St. Wolfgang lake and there was a boat ride on the lake included. Village of St. Wolfgang is very beautiful. We passed by a couple of more lakes. The downside was the tour guide by the name of Max. His English was really bad and he was mumbling. He is an elderly man so his speech is affected.
Really nice bus, safe driver, pleasant guide. The short boat ride on Wolfgangsee from Sankt Gilgen to Sankt Wolfgang was splendid. Sipping a glass of Austrian Grüner Veltliner white wine (not included in the price) while boating on this crystal clear green glacial water was heavenly. The famous carved altar by Michael Packer was something to behold.
The only one thing that bothered me is when the tour guide was speaking in German more than english and I booked this tour in English!! I saw it kind of disrespectful is to ignore half of the group just because they can only understand english.
The boat trip was special and the town of St Wolfgang was just so beautiful. Our guide Leo was excellent. He is widely read and even brought world history into his talks. He told us everything we needed to know about the area. Greetings from South Africa Leo.
An breathtaking experience that i'll never forget. Our tour guide Leo was fantastic. I was the only person in the group who couldn't speak German and Leo made the effort to translate everything for me and include me in the conversations which made a big difference.
