Great experience. Friendly pilot with lots of knowledge about the areas we were flying over. Absolutely worth it.
Having Jay Crawford as our pilot a young gentleman with a great sense of humour and knowledge of the areas we flew . Well done. Chris and myself were amazed how different the Olga’s are from the air and Lake Amadeus is absolutely stunning the myriad of islands within the lake itself are an unusual site giving the salt lake a special colour pallet. This was a five star adventure thank you so much.BC and CC.
Excellent way to see the sights of the outback. Our pilot was very knowledgeable and made a nervous flyer feel very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Just rounded off a great day out at Yulara with a sunset chopper ride with these guys. Jay, our pilot, went the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience for my 2 sons & I, even giving the already sparkling clean canopy another polish when he learned that both boys were keen photographers. The hour long flight showcased the big 3, Uluru, KJ & Lake Amadeus together with some other intriguing sights, including a camel train ambling across a salt pan. Jay’s informative commentary was interspersed with entertaining yarns of his travels & previous career as a tradie & deep sea fisho. By days end we’d enjoyed a birds eye view of the sights, together with some exhilarating & very cool chopper moves. However the real bonus was a inspirational life story from Jay for my teenaged boys. In his words, “discover your passion, then apply patience, persistence & perseverance and you’ll find purpose to have a shot at realizing your dream job.” Thanks Jay for sharing your office and providing us the opportunity to notch up a holiday highlight !
If you are a solo traveller try not to use this company, the only way I can explain my experience is stuffed around. Standby for one experience then ended up booking another, could have gone on the one that I ended up on standby for but the confirmed no all good for tomorrow only to be called hours before to advise that there was a problem with the helicopter and I could not do what I was booked on. Nothing wrong with the helicopter as it took others up. The pilot was lovely and got some photos hence 2 given otherwise it would have been a 0. It was a lot of money to not do what I had planned.
I have done a number of scenic flights, both fixed wing and helicopter, over a period of time. However, this flight would nudge others out of my top spot. The scenery speaks for itself - as stunning as expected. Lake Amadeus exceeded expectations and is a ‘must see.’ But what really made a difference was Amanda, the pilot. Skilled, highly knowledgeable and passionate and a lovely sense of humour. The 55 minutes literally flew - a highly memorable experience and a big thank you to Amanda! We would give her ‘outstanding pilot and guide award.’
What a fantastic way to see the amazing natural landscape. Casey was a fun pilot, putting my sister at ease as she was a bit nervous. We had a little banter between the pilots in the air at the same time, which was also fun! There is no way to explain just how surreal it was to go from the ‘all white’ of the salt lake (with the camel trails) to the red of the desert and the spectacular imagery of the landscape. I would have done both sunset and sunrise if I had the money! It was an hour of flying at sunset and just the two of us with Casey. Well worth the investment in an unforgettable experience.
Sam was excellent. He picked us up at the hotel and then gave us am amazing 1 hr flight. His commentary and ability to point things of interest was really appreciated This is a must do activity
This was my first helicopter ride and it was fantastic. Do it!! You get a totally different perspective. Travis who organised the booking had a great semse of humour. Rene was our pilot who had tons of information. Highly recommend.
Well it took 37 years but Emma finally got in the chopper with a great company..totally professional .great sense of humor and full commentary that was better than any guide book..Is it worthwhile? Absolutely..look beyond the ground look into it to fully appreciate this magical country...truly special. And use these guys you will not be disappointed.. ENJOY Karl and Emma
