Company is not very responsive. River ride was great and food was very good. Guide didn't speak English very clearly and was a bit repetitive. There was lots of talking at the sites and little time to actually explore. Yet, I don'to think the deep history and significance of these sites were covered. Some sites were quite expansive and could have been covered more efficiently by driving.

I booked this tour and received a confirmation of the hotel pickup time. I waited and waited, but they never showed up and never communicated with me. I had to go back and get a refund. I would definitely never book through Big Country Vacations again.

There seems to be so many tour companies marketing an identical agenda (with varying price tags), that it was hard to find the appropriate place to write a review! We booked through Big Country Vacations and our guide was Donna, who did an excellent job of imparting her great knowledge of her country's history and culture, with good humour and warmth! We were picked up promptly and the time spent either on the shuttle round Bangkok, or on the large bus needs to be regarded as part of the overall experience, as you are getting to see the city and country! Although it would've been nice to spend more time in those magnificent temple ruins - which is why most people book the tour - the palace grounds are huge and need the hour to see, whereas the shorter time at the ruins was enough to wander about, clicking madly for the memories to mull over later! White Orchid cruises provided a lunch that was beyond our expectations- really, really nice food! I'll dream of that spicy prawn soup for years to come!! It was magic to watch the temples drift by, and the landscape change, until docking in the busy heart of the city. We totally enjoyed our day and consider it excellent value! Thank you!
