We spent three weeks in Northern Italy. Of all the fabulous places we went too and things we saw, this was one of the best experiences. To say it is a balsamic vinegar tasting is an understatement. Marcello and his father Paulo, 5th and 6th generation, were THE BEST. I echo so much of what's written in other reviews, the decades old vinegar, Lambrusco, cheese, humor...this tour has it all. It may be off the beaten track, but you don't want to miss this.

Great tour of this family run business. Very informative and very generous servings of vinegar tasting, wine and food. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Wonderful experience! Learning and tasting the different ages of balsamic vinegar was fascinating. Plus the surrounding landscape was magical.

It was a very fun and informative tour. Very interesting to hear about the history from one of the original founding members of the Modena Balsamic Consortium, and 5 generations of family tradition. All of the products we tasted were excellent!! Would reccomend this tour to anyone who likes Balsamic Vinegar.

The father and son owners of the company were delightful and the product was delicious. The food pairings were great and the other folks on the tour were very nice. It was a shame that I arrived a half an hour late. My cab driver got lost because he lost WiFi and his GPS went down as well as his credit card reader. Luckily I had the 55 euros in cash and even luckier that a nice couple gave me a ride back to Modena. Leave at least 45 minutes to get there from the Modena train station. That part was really stressful. It would have been helpful to have that info in the description

The tour was amaxing and so personal. Marcelo and Paola were warm and attentive. They provided amazing details and stories of their family ; heritage and the history of their passion and business of balsamic. The presentation was exception, the tasting was incredible and they provided amazing food. This was a top 10 tour and would not have missed it. We had an experience of a lifetime with Marcelo!

The family history behind the business is so fascinating, and there is so much passion behind the information. It was such a joy to experience! Do not eat before you go because they will provide a ton to eat while you taste. You can put the vinegar and the saba on strawberries and they I’ll provide cheese and prosciutto. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. If you have the time, I highly recommend!!

This is one of the greatest things we have ever done. it was a small family owned business that has been there for seven generations. From the way they grow the grapes to the love and care that they give in the casks to making the purest and most delicious products we learn so much. Then to our delight and surprise, they fed us an avalanche of food and wine that was so fantastic we ended up skipping our dinner! I highly recommend this experience!

Robert and his father run this boutique balsamic vinegar operation that has been in the family for 7 generations, lovingly crafted. They grow the grapes, harvest them with all their family members, and age the balsamic by hand for generations. Not only will you learn a lot, but then you taste everything, and they bring out a feast of charcuterie, cheese, delicious aged balsamic, and wine. They couldn’t be nicer, and we were so full we passed on our dinner plans. My only regret is that I didn’t buy some of their products, which you just can’t find anywhere else. A must experience!

We spent a great afternoon learning all about Balsamic Vinegar. We had a tour with Marcello, who is so passionate about what they do and his English is fantastic! It was incredibly interesting hearing about how balsamic is made and what to look for to get quality (now we buy different balsamic from the supermarket at home!). After the tour we sat down to taste different vintages and Marcello's wife made us some divine snacks to go with it! Lovely wine served with it too. Paolo, Marcello's father came out and encouraged us to drink and eat more. His English isn't so great but he made for that with enthusiasm and luckily I speak some Italian so we had some good laughs with him! This is a wonderful, family run company who are clearly passionate, enthusiastic and proud of their Aceteia. As they should be becuase their produce is delicious! We bought 2 different vintages of Balsamic and a bottle of Saba too. Grazie mille Cavedoni family for a wonderful afternoon!
