Our guide, Jake, did an excellent job of keeping our group together despite individual abilities being different. The scenery was breathtaking, and Jake knew a lot of facts about the flora. We will do this trip again.

We had a fantastic experience on a hike to Consolation Lakes starting at Lake Moraine. Max was an excellent guide and did a wonderful job helping those of us who were less experienced at hiking ( like myself). He was friendly and by the end of the trip all 11 of us had a wonderful time getting to know each other while enjoying some stunning views. I would highly recommend this tour especially for the novice hiker though the company does offer other hiking tours for more experienced hikers

Our guide, Jeff, was excellent. He shared so much interesting information with us. He set a pace we were all comfortable with. It was a beautiful hike and a great group of people.

Amazing hike. It wasn't the easiest but then again I'm not as fit as I used to be. By the end of the switchbacks I was ready for a break. Lunch is a bit further on though so had to push through. Constant incline for the first two hours. Great views. Amazing lunch spot that feels totally isolated. Tour guide Max was awesome - kept the pace up and really encouraged people.

I took a solo trip to Banff and decided to do a guided hike. I am so glad I did! I chose the Larch Valley Hike and it was so much fun! The hike itself was amazing. The views spectacular! Our guide MAX was simply the best - so informative! So much fun! Engaging with everyone! I hope if you take this tour you get MAX as your guide!

We thoroughly enjoyed this hike. The visits to Lake Louise and Morraine Lake were spectacular. The hike in Larch Valley was perfectly challenging. Our guide, Jeff, was really knowledgeable and provided us with interesting information about the history and culture of the area. Jeff was attentive to the needs and abilities of the group, and paced the hike so everyone could enjoy the experience. The lunch that was included was excellent, as well. We would absolutely recommend this experience to others.

Loved this hike! It was perfect length and ability level for me since it was my first time to go hiking in the Rockies. Not too much of an elevation gain. It was raining for about a third of it but it was still great! Our guide Max was great!! He had rain ponchos for everyone and extra water if you forgot yours. He had walking poles if you wanted them. He made our hike pretty amazing. He made me feel safe and treated our group like a family. It made us all feel like a family. I would love to have him as a guide again! Overall great hike and guide! Thanks Max!!

We had a fantastic day’s walking on Larch Valley Trail with our guide Kelsie. She was a wonderful guide, very informative, told us lots about the glaciers, wildlife and vegetation and made us feel very confident if we had confronted any bears. She was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The views were stunning at the top and it was lovely to get away from the crowds. The pace was very relaxed and there was plenty for lunch. I would definitely recommend this guided walk especially if you’re lucky enough to have Kelsie as your guide!

So American Airlines had problems and we couldn’t get there in time. Not tour operator’s fault. 24 hour cancellation policy. I called with 23.5 hours to go. They said no accommodation with a rescheduling. Tough luck for us. I realize this isn’t about the hike, but it is about the tour company - Discover Banff Tours. I suggest you find another tour company!
