This was disappointing because there was very little food available. It was a national holiday so all the food stalls were shut. The tour organisers must have been aware of this because it happens every year, and they should not have offered the tour this day. The guide did his best and he was very knowledgable and pleasant. I felt sorry for him, that he had been put in that position.

I'm a big fan of the current crop of walking and local transport tours that are available, and this one is no exception. Again, I was fortunate enough to be the only one on this tour, so it was just me and the guide, Ice, who has to be one of the best and coolest no pun intended guides I've ever had on any Viator sourced tour anywhere in the world. After wandering along Bangkok's first street sampling various dishes, snacks, sweets and beverages from street vendors and local restaurants, we ventured forth, burning some calories on a leisurely stroll to the Bangkok Folk Museum, which was an incredibly interesting experience in it's own right, before finishing up after another nice stroll to Wat Khaek on Silom Road. A most excellent way to get to know the fabulous street food of Bangkok, with the added dimension of some local cultural history as well. Be brave and relish the dishes on offer, although vegetarians might like to specify this fact in advance, as at least two stops featured meat-based dishes duck and pork. A fantastic experience, even if your waistline does take a hit despite the walking this tour entails!
