Know More about this tour

Tour Bangkok exclusively by public transportation and experience the Thai capital from a different point of view!

Option 1: Early Morning Walk in Lumpini park plus Full-Day TourYour guide meets you at your city hotel in the early morning for a walk to Lumpini park. Take a stroll through Bangkoks Central Park for an authentic glimpse of local life, and watch groups doing their morning exercises, including tai chi, yoga and aerobic dance. Enjoy the greenery, against a backdrop of skyscrapers in the heart of Thailands metropolis, before continuing your full-day tour by public transportation.' (See full-day tour option for details.)

Option 2: Full-Day Tour without Morning WalkIf you didn't rise extra early for your optional walk, meet your guide at your hotel in the morning. Start your day of sightseeing with a stroll to the nearest station of the Bangkok Mass Transit System, commonly known as the BTS or skytrain.

Your short ride by skytrain offers the best views of Bangkoks downtown en route to the terminal station of Saphan taksin, located on the banks of the Chao phraya river. Here, board a public boat to Tha Thien pier where you disembark to visit Wat Pho, the temple of the Reclining buddha. Marvel at Bangkoks largest Buddha statue, which reaches 150 feet (46 meters) in length.

Follow up with a visit to the Grand palace, Thailands most famous royal monument that was once the official home of the kings of Siam. Housed within the ornate Wat phra kaew youll find the most revered Buddha image in Thailand: the Emerald Buddha.

Enjoy lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant near the palace before venturing on foot or tuk tuk to Soi Ban Batra, where a handicraft family is famed for the art making monks alms bowls and selling them. Then head back to Ratchadamnoen Avenue, a historic road referred to as the Thai Champs Elyses, where youll get in another tuk tuk to reach the historical klong, Saen Saeb.

Board the klongs commuter shuttle for a boat ride across Bangkok to the west. Disembark for a short walk from the Ratchathewi boat station to visit the Jim thompson house, a museum located in the former home of the Thai Silk Company's founder. The complex boasts six traditional Thai-style houses built of teak, and features a fine collection of arts and antiques.

After your visit, youll have the opportunity to stay and shop in one of the five large shopping complexes in the area Mbk, Siam square, Siam Center, Siam discovery and Siam paragon or simply return to your hotel by skytrain, accompanied by your guide.

We really enjoyed our guide, George. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very funny. His English was amazing. We really liked getting to all the sites by so many different means of transportation- boat, sky train, walking and tuk tuk. Highly recommended

This walking tour with a guide was great! We had half a day experiencing river boat, tourist boat, tuktuk taxi and sky train and our guide took us though the temples and palace We saw so much more than being stuck in the massive traffic jams in a minibus The guide kept us well supplied with water and adapted our route when we got too hot Well worth it!

Best way to seen Bangkok if tight for time!! Thank you, Satuda, for looking after us. (Felt safe & knowledgable) looking forward to showing You around London & Paris!

Our tour guide, Malee, really made this experience great! We saw so much with her and she had specific knowledge about all of it! In particular, we loved her stories about the temples. She was also very attentive to our needs and questions. It was only our second in Bangkok and we felt like we were in good hands. Thank you so much.

Sally was our guide for this tour
She was waiting outside our accommodation and found out we were she was to be our exclusive guide
We headed for the BTS National Stadium and caught the train to the river
Boarded a ferry to the grand palace and the onto the reclining Buddha
We had lunch as well at our expense before taking tuktuk and river boat to Jim Thompson house which coincidentally was in the same street as our accommodation
Sally was a great guide - very knowledgeable.
Totally recommend if you do to want to sit in a bus or van and wait in traffic. We loved it

This tour was advertised as a full day tour. Our guide Tom arrived at our hotel 10 minutes late, not a problem and there was only my wife and I on the tour. We went to Limpini park via the BTS metro although Tom didn't seem aware that the park was our first stop. From there we went to the Grand Palace which was very impressive and fairly quiet. We also visited Wat Pho and the Jim Thompson House. We travelled by BTS skytrain, tuk-tuk, public boat and taxi when Tom felt it was too hot by tuk-tuk. Tom was knowledgeable although he did move quickly, so much so that having asked him to guide us to MBK centre, we were finished. It was 12:15. Although this is a good tour, I do not see that it needs a full day even with a bigger group. As such I think what we paid was very expensive for what we got.
