Know More about this tour

Make your way to the lobby of the Nouvo city hotel to meet your guide. You'll travel together by taxi or minivan to the starting point of this Bangkok Tuk Tuk tour.

Board your motorized rickshaw commonly known as Tuk Tuk with your local guide from Phra arthit Road. Travel past Thammasart University into Phra Chan Road to the Amulet market, where various religious amulets, charms and traditional medicines are available. Your informative guide will explain the significance that these items play in the Thai culture.

Continue by Tuk Tuk to your next stop, Wat Pho temple, the oldest temple in Bangkok. Explore the Wat Pho temple complex with your guide before climbing back onboard your Tuk Tuk.

Travel by Tuk Tuk to Phahurat market, the Phahurat market is in the heart of Bangkok's little India where all kinds of fabrics, cloths, ornaments and accessories are sold along with stalls selling delicious Indian snacks.

Your next stop is Wat saket. Wat saket sits at the bottom of an artificial hill, often referred to as the Golden mount and dates back to the Ayuthaya era, prior to Bangkok becoming the capital of the Siamese kingdom. The temple was used for cremation ceremonies.

Your tour concludes at Wat saket but not before you climb up the 318 steps to the top of the Golden mount where you'll have amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding old Rattankosin Island.

Your guide can assist you in getting a taxi back to your hotel if needed.

This tour visits religious sites. To respect this and for your own comfort, please wear clothing that covers your shoulders, waist and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot and humid Bangkok climate.

Local Impact: How you will help the local community by joining this tour: This tour visits a local market vendor who shows you how to fold lotus flower petals like Thai people often do when using them in worship. Youll have a chance to try preparing the flowers for yourself and learn how local people use them at temples.

Not wheelchair accessible

You'll also visit the small community of Ban Baat who have been making alms bowls for monks by hand since the late 1700s. These days most monks bowls are factory made, but there are a handful of families preserving the traditional methods. You'll stop to meet one of these families who will give you the chance to try your hand at whichever stage of bowl-making they happen to be at during your visit.

Our guide Apple and helper Ham were fantastic. Apple was very enthusiastic, passionate, knowledgeable and made the journey feel safe. The timings for each activity were all great, and the tour is definitely worth the money to have a guided tour of all of the stops.

Had an incredible tour experience led by our tour guide, Nai! He is a Bangkok native and led an amazing and insightful tour. The ride around town the in the tuk tuk was a very fun experience and each stop was meaningful, with Nai providing background and history and always answering our questions. It was especially interesting to learn more about the Buddhist traditions practiced by so many around the country. The temples, markets, and neighborhoods we all saw were beautiful and this tour was definitely a highlight of our 10-day tour of Thailand. Nai was even kind enough to take photos of us throughout the tour and send them tour afterwards. Highly recommend this experience - thank you, Nai!

No better way to explore Bangkok than by a traditional Tuk tuk! A great morning spent with a fantastic local guide who was passionate about their home city, and sharing this with me and other members of the travelling party. We had a chance to visit some local temples and forts, as well as having a chance to explore both the Amulet Market and flower markets (which smells amazing btw). The experience felt traditional and local, experiencing areas of Bangkok I may not of seen otherwise so well worth a morning of your holiday!

I only had one full day in Bangkok, and the Grand Palace tour was recommended to me by my Intrepid guide. It was an amazing experience! We were a small group of only three people. Guide "A" had a wide knowledge in relation to the history of the Grand Palace and nearby Wat Pho. In between the two temple visits, we did a canal boat tour and got to see the sad history of some of the river homes that were affected by flooding several years ago. Guide "A" used his lovely personality to spark our interest in relation to the wonders of the Buddhist religion and culture. He personalised our trip by taking the most perfect photos of us individually and as a small group in front of temples and other beautiful sights. "A" even introduced us to riding on a public bus which was a unique and fun experience. Thank you "A" for this special experience and for your lovely smile 😁
