Overview

Join aboard this glass-bottom boat for 1 hour and 30minutes turtle and shipwreck adventure. The cruise departs from Copacabana Barbados on Carlisle Bay. On most days Carlisle Bay boasts calm turquoise waters with no undertow, delicately lappingon the soft white sand. Thisbay drawsboth locals and tourists alike with its breath-taking beauty above water, but also it is the thriving marine park that is enjoyed byscuba divers and snorkelers alike. This unique array of marine life is due in part to the six different shipwrecks in the water as shallow as 12ft. The wrecks are obviously another important contributor to the popularity of Carlisle Bay, the most recent being the Bajan Queen, sunk in 2002, for those seeking an adventure, you will not be disappointed with the sight of these sunken treasures.

This snorkelling trip was excellent. The tranquility boat is lovely and the captain and crew were so helpful especially Harry who helped calm my concerns about snorkelling in the water. They provided a float and life jackets to ensure the whole experience was enjoyable. We saw 3 turtles, a stingray and lots of colourful fish and coral around the shipwreck. I’d recommend this trip.

We had such a great time! The crew was really nice. They gave us some info before boarding and we stopped twice to see the turtles and the remains of a ship. Great experience, great price. No doubts, I would do it again!

Excellent tour, people are friendly and on time as documented
      I would rebook it.

      Kids and parents had fun!

The bus pickup from the cruise ship terminal was chaotic and disorganized. The snorkeling was "combat snorkeling" with many people from multiple excursions in a small area. The snorkeling occurs within a 1-2 minute boat ride of the beach. The glass bottom part of the boat is only a few feet square. The beach time was fine with a nice beach chair and umbrella provided, but this is a busy beach. Overall, its an acceptable excursion considering the low price.

We were on the swim with turtles, snorkel, shipwreck, beach day in Barbados. If it wasn’t a relatively inexpensive excursion we would have been more disappointed. This was billed as a glass bottom boat excursion. technically the boat had somewhat of a glass-bottom although the glass was probably only a few feet in diameter. The boat only took us a few hundred yards offshore where we snorkelled (with no fins) with the sea turtles for about 30 minutes then cruised another 1/2km or so and snorkelled above a shipwreck. Not much to see in either case. We then spent a couple hours on a very crowded Carlisle beach. Our fee did include a couple of lounge chairs and an umbrella. Not much of an excursion but for the price we paid, an ok day.

Very professional service with prompt arrival and pick up for return trip in a quality minibus. Guides were keen to ensure everyone had the best chance to spot a turtle. We also saw a stingray and the fish at the ship wreck were beautiful.

My husband and I as well as the couple we travelled with all really enjoyed this experience! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment was all extremely clean and well maintained. Lastly, the cost was very reasonable. We would do this again for sure.

We saw the turtles up close and the shipwreck plus schools of colourful fish. Particularly thankful to Ron for taking good care of the old guy - even towed me over to where the turtles were so I wouldn't miss them! Thanks to the whole crew. Definitely recommend.

The tour was amazing . The boat was a good size . The staff were friendly and informative. It was my second time snorkeling and the staff made me feel safe . They had people there to help you if you didnt know how to snorkel. I seen all kinds of tropical fish . A huge stingray and 2 turtles. They had complimentary drinks that were good and strong. The boat had music . The whole experience was very nice and worth every penny . I would definitely recommend this tour and I would do it again.

We took our chances taking this Tour in Barbados. Tour was organized by Glory Tours. There were many people in the tour and I feel they needed to be a bit more organized with the beginning of the tour. The bus had no A/C and looked quite old but that did not bother me as the windows were open and I do enjoy the Caribbean breeze. I was a short ride from the cruise terminal and the driver did tell us things about Barbados on the way to Pirates Cove. The cruise was with Tranquility Cruises. The staff at Tranquility Cruises were amazing. We did not care for the glass bottom. You have to get in the water and snorkel. I do not swim and had never snorkeled before and they were amazing helping me get in the water. I say at least two turtles and also saw the shipwreck with many colorful tropical fish, I had rum punch at the end of the snorkeling and again at the beach. My 10 yr old daughter thinks the snorkeling was the highlight of entire vacation.Price was excellent too. I think it was a bargain price for the experience we received. All the other tours I booked especially the ones through the cruise line were way pricier. Glory tours needs to get a bit better organized and the bus was dated which did not bother me but the experience was so good that I do give it 5 stars.
