  • Although this was in 2015, this was excellent! Loved the beach, a place to enjoy lunch a cocktail or two. Even has changing rooms. Mount Gay facility is interesting and loved the history. Can’t pass up the rum Punch and Rum tasting, even at 10am.

  • I loved the Mount Gay Rum Tour. Charisse sp was so cute and informative. We saw where they bottle the rum and went into an air conditioned area where we learned about the history of the rum. Very interesting. Then we watched a very show film and went to the bar for tasting. We had several different rums. They were all very good. We tasted rum punch too and it was really good. After that a driver picked us up and took us to the Copacabana Beach Bar and we got a complimentary drink. Very nice beach. If not a beach person just take the tour I feel it was worth it.

  • It was so much fun and our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful.

  • Tour of Mount Gay was very interesting and informative. I would recommend that. The beach part was OK. Our chairs were a distance from the water. Worth the price

  • Wife did not make trip but I had a good time. Mount Gay Rum tour was great lots of samples and the swim beach was also nice. I was the only person on the trip great driver.

  • The tour van was clean and arrived at the port on time. The rum tour was very crowded and we had to wait over an hour after our arrival for the tour to begin. Plenty of rum samples given out but had to stand the entire tour, with the exception of viewing a 7 minute film. The beach was amazing!

  • Enjoyed the distillery immensely. Was raining for the beach portion but it would have been great otherwise. Beach location was very nice.

  • Rum tour was decent, although right near the cruise port and not in a real factory. Beach was unspectacular.

  • The tour guides were very easy to find. The drive from the cruise port to the rum factory was only about 10-15 minutes. The tour at the rum factory was informative, entertaining, and of course you get some rum samples I think I got a total of about 5 half shots of various rums. The more high-end expensive rums are not provided as samples, but are available at the bar for purchase if you are interested. The only negative, was once we arrived at the rum factory, we had to wait about 30-40 minutes for the tour to start in a very tiny gift shop. After we left the rum tour, it was a drive of about 15 minutes to the beach. The beach was beautiful with chairs and covering included either umbrellas or tiki hut style canopies. There was a beach bar directly on the beach and also ice cream, lunch, and a gift shop just off the beach. This excursion included one drink per person from the beach bar. Unlike other trips I been on, when I asked the bartender what I could get with the drink voucher, he replied whatever you want, rather than just the normal rum punch from other places. My wife and I purchased one of the lunches to share for 10 we asked for a sampling of everything they were offering from the cafeteria style vendor. The food was tasty and we had enough for the both of us, which we ate at the tables next to the beach bar. We stayed exactly two hours at this beach before loading the van for the return trip to the ship. There were bathrooms and shower rooms directly beside of the beach area. Unfortunately, it rained a large part of the time we were there, but we took shelter in the bar area and used the provided wifi to pass the time.

  • The rum tour is one of a kind for rum aficionados such as myself and it's nicely capped off with a visit to the pristine blue waters of Carlisle Bay.
