Know More about this tour

After pick up from your cruise ship port the tour will begin in the Barbados capital of Bridgetown. Your driver will take you through the city pointing out historical sights along the way. From there you will travel up the south coast making the first stop at the historic Garrison. Then you will make your way up the coast and through the popular fishing village of Oistins, where you will make the second stop at Miami Beach. Miami Beach is a favorite with visitors and locals alike. Whilst at the beach you will sample some local fish cakes and coconut punch.
Leaving Miami Beach you will drive further up the south coast to Foul Bay, a long and wide beach whose shores are washed by turquoise waters. The next stop is Codrington College. Codrington College was built in 1715 and is the oldest Theological College in the western hemisphere. Just up the hill from Codrington College is the next stop St John's Church. St John's Church, one of the oldest churches on the island, is set on a cliff and captures spectacular views of the East Coast of Barbados. From this Gothic church you will journey through the Parish of St John and into St Joseph down into Bathsheba which was named for its great beauty. It is also the location of the Soup Bowl - the favorite stop for surfers in Barbados.
After a morning of beauty it will be time to taste the flavors of Barbados with local cuisine served up at our lunch stop at the Animal Flower Cave Restaurant located at northern tip of the island. The Northern point of the island differs drastically from most of the island. Here you will find waves crashing into limestone cliffs in a most dramatic fashion. Whilst at North Point you will be served refreshments. Leaving North Point you will head down the West Coast of the island through two of the island's oldest towns Speightstown and Holetown. Speightstown was also known as "Little Bristol" and was once the main port on the island. After driving through these towns you will be taken back to your hotel or cruise port.

  • The tour itself was first rate. Our guide, Calvin, was knowledgable and engaging, and paced the tour perfectly. It was interesting to contrast the different beaches and coastlines, and the stop at the parish church was beautiful. The highlight is the stop for lunch on the north end of the island. The restaurant juts out into the Atlantic with spectacular views of the rugged coast line the food and service were excellent as well.

The tour left late, largely because of congestion at the port, but also because we had to turn back after we started to pick up someone who was late arriving because he needed to return to the ship due to inappropriate dress no camouflage is permitted . This meant the tour ended up being 6 hours instead of the advertised 7. So please pay heed to all advisories and be aware that delays may be possible depending on when you arrive.

Again, though, the tour itself is excellent.

  • Comprehensive tour of the island , and we stoped at a beautiful spot for lunch and it was delicious !!!

  • Enjoyed the tour a lot, especially the lunch stop with the blow holes.

  • Tour around the Island was wonderful and tour guide really terrific. Only recommendation is to shorten it a bit. 7 hours is long, although I must admit we did encircle the entire island.

  • This was an excellent, low-key but very informative tour. We were met at the cruise terminal by company staff, who contacted our guide/driver Narin. He had just picked up people from a hotel and appeared within minutes. Two more hotel pickups and we were on our way around the island. With only seven in the small bus, we were able to ask all sorts of questions and get into places quickly. Our visit covered everything promised, and included a tasty snack and a very good lunch no additional cost to us. Mindful of our ship's sailing time, we returned to the port with an hour to spare. Barbados is a lovely place, and I'd recommend this tour to anyone who wants a good overview of the history and scenery of the island.

  • Our tour guide was great! Very informative. Worth the money!

  • Wow! What a day. Our driver is passionate about life, what he does and Barbados. It is a very full day of driving and sightseeing. The driver knows the island well and shares all the history and tips very well. I enjoyed the north coast rock formations, such a difference to the rest of the island. Lunch was at a picturesque village by the water, just like on the postcards. I can not recommend this tour enough and it has to be the best there is.

  • Very good tour. Watch out for the pepper sauce at the restaurant where you have the fried flying fish!

  • Operator provided meeting specs as requested by email. Tour covered major coastal sites with time to enjoy them. The driver was excellent. The meal provided was local fare and very good. Highly recommended.

  • Super tour. Thank you very much! Beautiful beaches, sea, rocks and people.
